The Seoul 100 Year

The Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2023 is an important international event that will bring together architects from all over the world to discuss pertinent industry issues. The theme for the 2023 edition is Land Architecture, Land Urbanism, presenting a detailed masterplan for an ecofriendly, sustainable city.
Byoung Soo Cho, an architect renowned for his eco-friendly architecture, will serve as general director at the event, joined by five experienced curators. Various exhibitions will be staged at the event, including the Seoul 100 Year Masterplan Exhibition, showcasing the ideas of South Korean
citizens gathered through a national competition staged from July to September 2022.
The theme of the competition is Linking the Seoul 100 Year Masterplan With the Green Network, inviting participants to propose ideas for the future of a high-density, eco-friendly city taking account of Seoul’s natural topography and characteristics, such as its rivers and mountains. Architects, urban planners, designers, researchers, artists, writers and students are invited to participate in the competition, irrespective of location or age. Following development with the general director, curators and experts, selected works will be presented at the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2023.
