Our studios offer one of a kind sets designed to meet your unique style and outfits. From moody and dramatic to light and airy, our sets offer differing textures, colors, and even multicolored LEDs. Studio strobe lights are used for the majority of our sets to create stunning visuals, but we also incorporate beautiful soft window light in select areas.

The outdoor portion of our senior sessions incorporate an urban/industrial setting surrounding our studios, along with settings that include nature/greenery. These tend to match well with a lot of styles - our photographers know exactly where to pose you to get a variety of looks during your session! If premier sessions are offered at your school, we are able to incorporate your school and the surrounding campus to add a more personal touch.

The look and feel of our most in depth session, the Deluxe, can vary based on the locations offered. Opting for the Vernon Hills location, you’ll find yourself amidst a picturesque forest preserve. It homes tall grasses, white fencing surrounded by lush foliage, a charming walking bridge, and brick pathways. There are various buildings with distinct designs, including traditional farm styled sheds and silos.

A Deluxe at our Lemont Studio is in the beautifully quaint downtown of, you guessed it, Lemont! There are plenty of unique buildings each with their own charm, textures, and colors. From bridges, trees, grass, and flowers, we guarantee Lemont will serve as a beautiful backdrop for all your senior photos.

Paid sessions are not required to appear in your school’s yearbook. We offer free yearbook photos at your school during your school’s fall picture day.

what to wearlook your best

What you choose to wear for your session is up to you, but we recommend wearing something that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and aligns with your personality. Any outfit that you bring will be photographed full length, so be sure to be dressed from head to toe.

Solid colors, long pants, and long sleeves generally photograph well, but feel free to wear what highlights you in the best possible way. During your session, you will move around, so it’s important to avoid clothing that restricts your movements or makes you feel uncomfortable.

When you feel great, that confidence will radiate in your portraits. While formal wear is common, we emphasize the importance of being true to your style so we also encourage casual outfits. Our goal is to capture the real you and let your authentic self shine through!

We love props!

We encourage you to personalize your senior portrait session by bringing in items that represent you. These items could be instruments, hobbies, sports equipment/uniforms or you can even bring your pet!

(Pets allowed at studio sessions only)

We want to make sure that your senior portraits are unique and capture your personality!

Clothing: Get your clothes steamed or ironed to avoid wrinkles. Make sure the fit is right! If your school has a dress code policy, please adhere to it.

Suits: Wear a belt, wear the proper size. Shirts and jackets that are too big may not lay flat and create bulk or wrinkles.

Caps and Gowns: Don’t have yours yet? No worries, we have extras for you to wear during your session!

Ties: Practice tying your tie and get it to the correct length or try to have someone help you. If all else fails our photographers can help too!

Nails: Your hands will be used and seen in images, be sure to avoid chipped nail polish.

You will receive an email with a link to view your senior portraits within a week of your session. You can also click here to find your senior portal where you can fill out the information under view & order senior portraits. You will need to select a yearbook image by the deadline given by your school.

Do I have to be photographed by VIP to have my portrait published in the school yearbook?

Yes, you must be photographed by VIP in order to be in your yearbook. Photographs that are submitted from other studios will not be accepted or published in the yearbook.

How do I sign up for my senior portraits?

You can sign up for your senior portrait session by clicking here You will then search for your school & click on the senior portrait section. Fill out the required information and it will take you to your senior portrait portal. Once you are there you will be able to sign up for the senior session of your choice.

How do I pay for my session fee?

When you sign up online you will need to pay the fee at the time of booking. Your sitting fee is nonrefundable so please select your appointment type and date carefully.

What is the rescheduling policy?

Cancellations 48 hours or more in advance of the session date can reschedule their session at no additional fee. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will be required to pay a $25 fee to reschedule their session. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, it is considered a missed appointment. Missed appointments will also be required to pay a $25 fee to reschedule the session. These policies were created to value your time as well as our photographers’.

Will I be able to select my own yearbook image?

Yes, if you select your yearbook image before your yearbook deadline you will be able to make your own selection. If you do not choose in that time, VIP will select your yearbook image for you.

Is there a deadline to select my yearbook image?

Yes, this date will be on your take home pamphlet that we will provide after your session.

Will my yearbook image be retouched?

You will have the option to choose non retouched or retouched when selecting your yearbook pose at no additional cost.

Does VIP provide the cap & gown for my session?

VIP does provide your school’s cap & gown for your senior portrait session.

Do I prepay for my package?

You can pre purchase the photographer’s choice photographs as digital downloads. You will receive all of the available photographer choice proofs with a mild blemish retouch and a standard color correction, no custom retouching requests. The download would be available within 2 weeks after your completed session. This offer is only available at the time of scheduling.

How do I view and order my senior portraits?

You will receive an email with a link to view and order your images within a week of your session. Please note that these are proofs only and have not yet been retouched or color corrected.

Will my order be retouched?

Yes, we retouch every image that you order. This would be for prints as well as digital images. Basic retouching of blemishes and hair flyaways are included at no additional cost. Teeth whitening, braces removal and special requests are available at an additional fee. You can add those on at the time of purchasing.
