Welkom’s Got Talent - Top 16 THERE are only two rounds left in this year’s Welkom’s Got Talent 2014 hosted by the Goldfields Mall, Vista and Express Goldfields & NFS. From this week you can also vote for your favourite Welkom’s Got Talent contestant. Lines open on Saturday at 16:00 and close on 29 April at 17:00. Your votes count 60% and the judges’ votes carry the balance.

DJ KENT, born as Khensani Mabaso, took his DJ skills out of the house. He became the local darling whenever there were school, Valentine’s or 21st birthday parties. He was raised to national fame when he teamed up with musical-minded duo Tumi and Euphonik to form Kentphonik. Together they bowled over the nation when Kentphonik tracks Uwrongo and Masingita featured on the eminent producer DJ Fresh’s album, Definition Of House Vol 2 & 3, respectively. DJ Kent is the hosting guest artist at the grand finale of Welkom’s Got Talent on 2 May at the Goldfields Mall.
Susters skitter The Chicken Thief She has worked as a diplomat, foreign and trade policy consultant, freelance writer, theatre producer, blogger, home schooler and author, and sometimes several of these at once. She lives in Ghana, West Africa, for now.

TWEE susters van die Rooiskool (Afrikaanse Hoërskool Kroonstad), Engeli (links) en Marlize Nel, het aan die Suid-Afrikaanse Kampioenskappe vir die Uitvoerende Kunste deelgeneem en gepresteer. Engeli het ‘n silwermedalje vir sang ontvang en Marlize het ’n goue en twee bronsmedaljes vir sang; ’n silwermedalje vir klavier en drie goue medaljes vir dwarsfluit ontvang. Marlize is ingesluit in die Suid-Afrikaanse span wat in Julie aan die wêreldkampioenskappe vir die uitvoerende kunste in Los Angeles gaan deelneem. Hulle is die dogters van Christo en Hannetjie Nel van Riebeeckstad.
