Kimmo Pyykkö -taidemuseon kolmesti vuodessa vaihtuvat näyttelyt esittelevät korkeatasoista kotimaista kuvataidetta. Pysyvässä näyttelyssä Pitkän matkan ateljeessa tutustutaan kuvanveistäjä Kimmo Pyykön uraan ja taiteeseen yli 60 vuoden ajalta. Näyttelykäynnin yhteydessä voi tutustua Kangasala-talon palkittuun arkkitehtuuriin.
KIMMO PYYKKÖ ART MUSEUM Three temporary exhibitions per year of Kimmo Pyykkö Art Museum offer topquality Finnish fine art. The permanent exhibition The Long-distance Atelier focuses on the life and career of the sculptor Kimmo Pyykkö. During your visit to the museum, you can also explore the architecture of the award-winning Kangasala Arts Centre. The building of Arts Centre received the Concrete Construction of the Year and the Concrete Facade of the Year awards in 2015, and it was nomintated for Finlandia Prize for Architecture in 2015.
Naisten kuvia – Teoksia Heinon taidesäätiön kokoelmasta, 23.1.–12.6.2021 Kimmo Pyykkö -taidemuseon kevään 2021 näyttely esittelee naistaiteilijoiden teoksia sekä miestaiteilijoiden naisaiheita. Näyttelyssä on mukana teoksia 33 taiteilijalta, valokuvia, piirroksia, maalauksia ja veistoksia. Näyttelyn ovat tuottaneet yhteistyössä Kimmo Pyykkö -taidemuseo ja Heinon taidesäätiö.

Reidar Särestöniemi, 3.7.–26.9.2021 Reidar Särestöniemi (1925–1981) on tunnettu värikylläisistä, vahvoista ja kokeellisistakin teoksista, joiden aiheena ovat lappilainen maisema, sen jängät, tunturit ja joenmutkat sekä eläin- ja fantasiahahmot, niin porot, pässit, ilvekset, hylkeet kuin taivaanjaaratkin. Näyttely on kuratoitu Kirsi ja Keio Eerikäisen taidesäätiön kokoelmasta.

Näyttelyt/Exhibitions 2021 Pysyvä näyttely, 3. krs Kimmo Pyykkö: Pitkän matkan ateljee Taidemuseon pysyvässä näyttelyssä tehdään matkaa kuvanveistäjä, professori Kimmo Pyykön (s. 1940) ateljeessa. 60 vuotta taiteen kentällä toimineen kuvanveistäjän tuotantoon kuuluu mitalitaidetta, veistoksia, reliefejä sekä julkista taidetta. Permanent exhibition, 3rd floor Kimmo Pyykkö: The Long-distance Atelier The art museum’s permanent exhibition presents a journey through the sculptor and professor Kimmo Pyykkö’s atelier. From his childhood and adolescence in Kangasala, Pyykkö’s road took him to art education in Helsinki and a diverse career spanning six decades in the Finnish art scene.

Pictures of Women – Works from the Heino Art Foundation collection, 23 Jan to 12 Jun 2021 The spring 2021 exhibition at the Kimmo Pyykkö Art Museum presents works from female artists, as well as female themes from male artists. The exhibition includes works from 33 artists – photos, drawings, paintings, and sculptures. The exhibition was jointly produced by the Kimmo Pyykkö Art Museum and the Heino Art Foundation.
Reidar Särestöniemi, 3 Jul to 26 Sep 2021 Reidar Särestöniemi (1925–1981) was known for his strong and even experimental colour-rich works whose topics include Laplandic scenery with its fen swamps, fells, meanders, as well as animal and fantasy characters including reindeer, rams, lynxes, seals, and mire snipes. The exhibition was curated from the collection of the Kirsi and Keio Eerikäinen Art Foundation. Muutokset mahdollisia. Näyttelyssä on esillä Kimmo Pyykön uran alkuvaiheen ja rautakauden teoksia 1960-luvulta mm. Maire Gullichsenin taidesäätiön kokoelmista Porin taidemuseosta, Kansallisgalleriasta/Ateneumin taidemuseosta, ja Sara Hildénin taidesäätiön kokoelmista. Kimmo Pyykkö: On the Road -66, 16 Oct 2021 to 30 Jan 2022 The sculptor Kimmo Pyykkö’s debut exhibition was held in Galerie Artek in 1967 and launched the sculptor’s 60-year career. The exhibition presents works of art from the beginning of Kimmo Pyykkö’s career and his iron period works from e.g. the collections of the Maire Gullichsen Art Foundation in Pori Art Museum, the Finnish National Gallery / Ateneum, and the collections of the Sara Hildén Art Foundation.
