The smallest of the inhabited islands in the Wadden Sea, Mandø, is a unique and peaceful nature paradise. From the mainland, at low tide, you can drive your car to the island by way of the road, Låningsvejen. Does the meeting need a stage shift ? or a change of pace ? On the island Fanø, only your imagination that sets the limits for what is possible. Here the 15 km long and up to 1.5 km wide beaches gives you enormous amounts of space to romp on. Here you can go on seal safari, amber safari, or drive blocart, together or against each other. Nordby and Sønderho town centers are characterized by the maritime history, where Fanø in the 19th century was one of the four largest shipping cities in Denmark. The sailing ships are gone, but the houses, the museums, the clothes, the music and the dance keep the maritime traditions alive. What were the origins of Ribe and how did the town’s inhabitants live when Ribe was a major European trading centre ? The exhibitions of unique archaeological nds present the history of Ribe from the beginning of the 700s and on through the Viking Age and the Middle Ages to about 1700. In the years 710-850, the Viking marketplace ourished, and the museum’s Viking Age exhibition is packed with beautiful objects from the workshops of the bead maker, the bronze caster and the comb maker. The exhibition about Ribe in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance tells about daily life: play, health and sickness - about religious houses and churches and about the ongoing pro table trading in the town. The story is told in so many different ways that both families with children and those with a special interest in history and archaeology will get something out of it.

Brorsonsminde is a culture house in the centre of the medieval town, Ribe’s oldest and most beautiful city district. Here you find a unique and historic ambiance, which sets Brorsonsminde apart from many other conference venues. The space is suited for smaller business meetings of 10 people as well as meetings and conferences of 100 people depending on table setup. The meeting rooms are available for workshops, lectures, cultural events or smaller exhibits. The rooms have all the technical equipment required of a modern conference venue. The staff will cater to the participants’ needs all day with fresh and healthy meals and the option of including culinary surprises.
