This tour combines the private Manchac Swamp with Oak Alley Plantation.
At Manchac Swamp, you’ll ride through the Louisiana wetlands in a comfortable, covered pontoon boat driven by a local captain. You’ll also learn about the history of Frenier and the Cajun culture of fishing, hunting, and trapping. Keep your eyes peeled for large alligators as they leap up for snacks!
As you approach Oak Alley Plantation, you will understand why she is the most photographed plantation ever. Her quartermile long alley of 28 magnificent oak trees, each nearly 300 years old, is an impressive welcome. You will take a tour of one of the most iconic homes in America and the filming location for countless TV shows and movies.
The grounds also provide a self-guided experience for you to explore:
• Film on sugar cane production
• Reconstructed slave cabins and a slavery exhibit with an interpreter
• Exhibit on the dozen families who have owned the property
• East and West Gardens
• Blacksmith working with the plantation’s original forge
Narrated round-trip transportation and admissions included.
This tour combines a visit to a River Road plantation and a cruise through the swamps of south Louisiana.
Established in 1787, Destrehan Plantation is the oldest documented French Colonial style house in the lower Mississippi Valley. This majestic antebellum plantation home watches over the banks of the Mississippi River, only a few minutes upriver from New Orleans.
Docents will share the history of the Destrehan family’s sugar dynasty contrasted with a tragic, historic slave revolt that occurred at this site. Daily trade demonstrations by costumed artisans give an insight to long-forgotten skills that were a vital part of everyday life centuries ago.
Then it’s a short ride to the Manchac Swamp where you’ll cruise through a privately-owned wildlife refuge, home to the legend of “Rougarou”, the Cajun werewolf. You might not find the “Rougarou”, but you will get up close and personal with some alligators in an area where time seems to stand still.
You can purchase drinks and snacks at “the swamp” (cost of drinks and snacks are not included in the tour price).
Narrated round-trip transportation and admissions included.
After a short motorcoach ride across the Mississippi River, take a fascinating boat trip into the Louisiana Swamps & Bayous.
Experience the timeless beauty of South Louisiana in a custom built swamp boat. Your native guide will reveal the mysteries of the swamps and bayous and the Cajun “joie de vivre.”
You’ll discover how the seafood from our bountiful waters provides a wide assortment of both local and worldwide delectable dishes! Plus you’ll observe the nesting grounds of alligators, egrets, raccoons, nutria, and many species of snakes.
You will also learn about why our wetlands are disappearing, due to coastal erosion, and man’s efforts to correct the damage it has done by restoring this vital habitat.
Bring your camera to capture the “bon temps” (good times) on the bayou!
Some wildlife are more numerous during the warmer months of the year.
Round-trip transportation and admissions included.
This thrilling adventure is both a swamp tour and a speed ride.
Travel at speeds up to 40mph across the bayou, and then slow down for unforgettable photo opportunities and fascinating information from the local captains who grew up on these waterways.
These agile airboats take you deep into the marsh where traditional boats don’t dare to go. Once deep in the wetlands, you will be in the prime location for viewing the amazing wildlife of Sportsman’s Paradise.

You’ll take a tour of one of the most iconic homes in America and the filming location for countless TV shows and movies.
This Greek Revival mansion has always been a symbol of grandeur during an era of unimaginable wealth. But there is much more to her story. Extensive research by the Friends of Oak Alley Foundation has revealed the lives and legacies of the many people who have called Oak Alley home.
The grounds also provide a self-guided experience for you to explore:

On this tour, you will get a personal look into the lives of owners and enslaved people in Antebellum Louisiana.
In 2014, Whitney Plantation opened its doors to the public for the first time in its 262 year history as the only plantation museum in Louisiana with a focus on slavery.
Through exhibits, memorial artwork, restored buildings, and hundreds of firstperson slave narratives, visitors to Whitney will gain a unique perspective on the enslaved people who lived and worked here.
Whitney is also significant because of the number of historic outbuildings that were added to the site over the years, thus providing a unique perspective on the evolution of the Louisiana working plantation.
As a site of memory and consciousness, the Whitney Plantation Museum is meant to pay homage to all enslaved people on this plantation and to all of those who lived elsewhere in the United States.
Round-trip transportation and admissions included.
Enjoy a city sightseeing tour, a cemetery stop, and a guided Garden District stroll!
This experience covers 25 miles of iconic New Orleans neighborhoods. You’ll start in Jackson Square with some French Quarter history and continue along Esplanade. This elegant French Avenue lined with large, Victorian houses leads you from the French Quarter to City Park.
Before you arrive at City Park, you will stop at St. Louis Cemetery #3, where you will learn about our above ground burial system, the misfortunes that took the lives of many in early New Orleans, and the culture of our jazz funerals.
City Park’s many attractions are nestled among the shadows of the largest collection of ancient oak trees. Stone foot bridges cross lagoons in this picture-perfect setting. You’ll stop here to explore the 11acre sculpture garden or purchase café au lait and beignets at Café du Monde.
The next stop is the Garden District! Just a few miles upriver from the French Quarter, it is one of the most well preserved historic neighborhoods in America. As you walk along, your guide will point out these architectural styles and features and share the stories of those who lived behind these grand facades.
Narrarated round-trip transportation and admissions included.
On this tour, you’ll hear the eerie tales and dark secrets of a 300 year old European neighborhood.
Learn the real history of colorful characters who lived, died, and have chosen to remain in the French Quarter. Follow their shadows down cobbled alleys, through streets aglow with gas lamps and feel the mythical presence that makes New Orleans the most haunted city in America.
Your guide will introduce you to Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau and share the evolution of Voodoo, a religion that arrived with the first West African slaves in 1719 and is still practiced today.
Some stories will even be brought to life during the tour with our new Augemented Reality Software. You’ll have a chance to take a photo with Marie Laveau or even crackle in the Great Fire of 1788.
Enjoy French Quarter courtyards, classic cocktails, and entertaining history!
The craft cocktail scene began early in New Orleans. In fact, the word “cocktail” originated here. In a city that fosters creativity and breathes inspiration, it’s no wonder New Orleans’ alluring history is closely entwined with a culinary culture.
A local guide takes you behind the scenes in some of America’s oldest restaurants. You will spend the afternoon in historic bars and stunning spaces learning the stories behind classic cocktails like the Sazerac, America’s first cocktail born in New Orleans in 1838.
We offer a complimentary NATCHEZ Jazz Punch to start of the evening. Plus you’ll enjoy two additional complimentary cocktails during the tour.
If you don’t finish your drink, ask for a “to go cup.” Here, it’s easy to forget you’re on a tour because this is history…with a twist!

When the New Orleans Steamboat Company launched the NATCHEZ in 1975, they revived more than a famous name. They created the only true steam powered sternwheeler plying the Mississippi today.
The NATCHEZ is the pride of the Mississippi River and is as beautiful as any of her namesakes. Many of her crew have been with her since her maiden voyage. Theirs is a whole new chapter in history of the river, and you can be a part of it.
The newest addition to the New Orleans Riverfront & sister vessel of the Steamboat NATCHEZ, the CITY OF NEW ORLEANS, operates daily brunch and dinner cruises with live jazz.
The iconic red paddle churns the Mighty Mississippi, as you glide past ocean going vessels and New Orleans landmarks on a 2-hour cruise. You’ll enjoy classic New Orleans cuisine and live jazz while viewing the skyline through a panorama of windows.
Ornamented with Victorian details inside and out, the CITY is a tasteful blend of rich woods, gleaming fixtures and fresh finishes. Each of the three elegant dining rooms and the relaxing rooftop deck feature a full bar, so a cocktail is never too far away.
Private deck rentals are available for groups of 50-500.
