As you might have noticed, we have changed the whole This Is Antwerp look, with the help of Afreux. We’re going back to our roots and asked locals to actively participate in the making of this magazine. This is
also the first time we asked a local Antwerp artist (Inge Rylant) to design the cover for the magazine. Therefore we would like to thank all the locals for their input and dedication.
This year Antwerp is celebrating the 350th anniversary of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. We thought this was the perfect time to zoom in on art in our city. Laura takes you on a graffiti filled tour around Antwerp, but don’t worry, she planned plenty of coffee breaks. The academy’s Fashion Department is also celebrating its 50th birthday this year so what better time to introduce a couple of graduates? These young designers are working hard at making a name for themselves in fashion.
