The Journal of the Colombian Society of Ophthalmology is dedicated to broadcasts research results and knowledge through the publication of original articles that contribute to the study of ophthalmology and related disciplines, and its use as a tool to improve the quality of life of the population. The audience comprises those professionals working in the areas of health and other professionals who share interest with ophthalmology. The Journal started in 1969 and is a quarterly publication: Jan-March/April-June/JulySeptember/October-Dec. Its 1.000 issues are distributed freely to all ophthalmologists members of the S.C.O. and to those entities (companies, universities, clinics and hospitals) appointed by the Board of Directors of the S.C.O. or by the Editorial Council. There is a web page as well: http:// www.socoftal.com/. The Editors reserve the rights to turn down any advertisement for any reason whatsoever. The publisher is solely responsible for the guidelines. The publisher must compensate the Journal in the case of losses, expenditures, claims or problems arising from advertising, which must comply with the relevant rules and regulations.
