Hi everyone,
As you have seen, we have recently shared that we are making some significant structural changes to the organisation. We know that we continue to face into challenging economic headwinds and changing market dynamics, and we see no let-up in cost pressures. As such, we are making changes to our structure and organisation to ensure our central support functions are best placed to deliver for our customer-facing team members and for our customers.

Greene King is a strong business. We are still on the journey to be the pride of British hospitality, and this is a journey we are very much a part of. For the past four years, our strategic focus has been on transforming our business and we have invested significantly to do so. Now we move to delivery phase, and we need to make the organisation simpler, leaner, and more agile so we can become really delivery focused.

While I know this can feel like an unsettling time, we still have so much to feel positive about – much of which is included in this edition. The past couple of months have seen us celebrate some fantastic award wins, some of our brilliant people have been celebrating significant milestones in their careers, we have seen some impressive audit results, and we remain as the no 1 cask ale brewer in Great Britain.

Our Bury distribution team are nearly ready to move to their new home and you can read about the new name for the site, as well as hearing from Elly Johnston, Logistics Improvement Manager, as part of the special feature on pages eight and nine.
