La forza dei gesti The work and the tradition
Manual work is the result of extensive experience over the centuries. In its value is preserved the culture of the peoples. The rhythm and the time of the act often reflect that original relationship with nature that marks the character and mentality of the people. In the ancient crafts, so you can be understood the close relationship between modernity and tradition. They are a clear testimony of the altered sense of time and the lost value of manual skill, that skill is learned through the continuous observation of the gesture.
È nella manualità del lavoro, frutto di un’esperienza consolidata nei secoli, che si conserva il valore più profondo di una cultura. Perché il ritmo e il tempo del gesto riflettono spesso quell’originario rapporto con la natura che segna il carattere e la mentalità dei popoli. Nei mestieri antichi si può cogliere così lo stretto legame che esiste tra la modernità e la tradizione. Essi sono una testimonianza precisa del mutato senso del tempo e del valore perduto della capacità manuale, quell’abilità che si imparava attraverso l’osservazione continua del gesto ripetuto.
