A series of Swivels Originating from the core design of the Vipp451 chair, the Vipp Swivel chair shares the same choice of materials: an aluminium frame and a padded seat and backrest. Unlike the original, the Swivel chair’s seat rests on a pillar that branches out into a four-legged base, available with either castors or gliders, allowing for 360° rotation.

The Vipp Swivel chair has become a versatile addition to homes, offices, and creative spaces since its introduction five years ago. Defined by its sculptural shell, supportive seat, and smooth 360° rotation, the chair blends comfort with industrial sharpness. With Bespoke Swivel, these core characteristics remain unchanged.

The very first Vipp chair offers a solid, powder-coated or polished aluminium frame with rounded armrests and a small, supportive backrest. Slender armrests continue straight into the discreetly padded backrest, giving the chair an almost airy expression despite of its solid components.

The Vipp chair is suitable for the dining or living room and is the first chair introduced in Vipp’s portfolio of furniture. The upholstery is available in either black or sand coloured leather with unique characteristics. Only a thin layer of protection covers the aniline leather, exposing its natural marks and intensifying the silky feel of the matte surface. Inimitable patina will emerge over time when choosing upholstery of this subtle leather.

The organic idiom of the Cabin chair is expressed by its softly rounded components and a slender backrest constructed in solid oak. The Cabin chair features rounded components of solid oak and a hovering veneer seat. Meticulous detailing is unveiled in the subtle construction of the chair, demonstrated through the invisible joints that make the chair look as cut in one piece. An iteration of the Cabin series, the Cabin lounge chair marries oak, leather, and paper cord. Designed for the lounge area, the broad and double-padded, fixed seat cushion in leather invites for relaxation. The Lodge lounge chair features a moulded soft shell and legs of light or dark oak. The comfortably padded foam shell is designed to surround the body like a glove, while the backrest features a springy flexibility, ideal for long seating sessions. Intended as an extra seat, the pouf is constructed of high resilience foam molded around a wooden frame offering a resilience through versatile use while helping to maintain the firm shape of the pouf for many years. Sculptural yet informal, the hexagon-shaped pouf holds linear detailing against round edges. Available in the Wavy textile: a light-coloured, soft, and wide-woven upholstery with a fluffy surface.

Modular comfort

In the making of Vipp Loft and Vipp Chimney House, two vastly different guesthouses, we met two different needs for comfortable seating. One being larger lounge elements with wide armrests for a spacious room, another being a more detailed and compact design for a smaller space.

The Vipp Loft sofa is one of the two models available in the Vipp sofa series. The Loft sofa features a wide, angular shape with a wood and steel construction, carried by a slender frame of either stainless steel or powder-coated steel. Named after Vipp Loft, our second guesthouse, the Loft sofa boasts a deep seat inviting for long hours of lounging. Vipp’s sofa system of configurable elements allows for endless modularity with a predefined selection of upholsteries.

Named after Vipp Chimney House, our third guesthouse, the Chimney sofa features a rounded and compact design crafted with a wood and steel construction, carried by a slender frame of either stainless steel or powder-coated steel. Foam, combined with a mix of polyfibre, envelops a solid birch wooden interior frame. Curvy shapes and a detailed, compact design exhibit the visual features of the Vipp Chimney sofa.

At the request of his wife, Holger Nielsen crafts a practical, pedal-controlled bin for Marie’s newly opened hairdressing salon in Randers, Denmark. Initially a token of love, never a business idea, this little bin soon becomes the talk of town.

PEDAL BINS

The pedal bin was not designed in the strict traditional sense, but got its visual expression in response to a series of functional criteria; one being a pedal for a hands-free operation. Available in six sizes and four colour options, the pedal bin is equipped with a removable inner bin, a lid that ensures air-tight closure, and a damper mechanism that provides smooth closing of the lid. A rubber ring at the base protects floors and sensitive surfaces.

The V1 kitchen is available in five different modules: island, island with seating, island with end-seating, wall, and tall modules. Whether fitted for open-plan cooking, a classic workstation against the wall, or maximum storage, each module can be composed of several units. The corners of the stainless steel worktop and powdercoated aluminium frame are rounded for a soft take on industrial materials. The solid, one-piece, stainless steel table top is 4 mm thick and floats above the kitchen cabinet to add a light expression to a heavy-weight material. Inspired by furniture, the Vipp kitchen is raised on legs, adding extra functionality with easy access to cleaning. Set screws in stainless steel let you adapt the kitchen to uneven floors.

Cabinet fronts in light or dark oak veneer, or anodized aluminium, add a refined and tactile design element to the V2 kitchen. The aluminium fronts feature repeated vertical lines and a discreet push-click opening mechanism. A seamlessly integrated 20 mm worktop, folded from a single sheet of stainless steel with squared corners and precise welds, showcases Vipp’s longstanding expertise in manufacturing metal objects.

While oak signifies a new material direction in Vipp kitchens, you will recognize Vipp in the use of our trademark materials: stainless steel and extruded aluminium. Rounded aluminium profiles with reeded details serve as discreet, integrated grips. V2 module types include an island module (D: 120 cm), a narrow island module (D: 95 cm), and a wall module. Drawer constructions and interior fittings, found in the other kitchens, are repeated in the V2.

Five types of freestanding modules are wrapped in a custom-developed anodized aluminium finish, with vertically extruded profiles that curve softly around the edges. The coffee tables feature a three-legged frame of black powder-coated aluminium and a hovering top of either Jura Grau Blau or Pietra Grey marble.
