CURATED COLLECTION In times of redundancy, we uplift the purest form. Vipp products are stripped of superfluous detailing serving no functional purpose. Avoiding the unnecessary, we pay attention to details and materiality to obtain a refined simplicity. Vipp’s design team cultivates a carefully curated collection of accessories, furniture, lighting, and kitchens for the home with tightly edited variants safeguarding a streamlined aesthetic vision.

LESS BUT BETTER In times of fast consumption, we dare to take our time. Since 1939, we have spent a lifetime refining and repeating our very first product. A bin born in Denmark became the foundation of Vipp and its inherent design philosophy honed over 80 years. At its core is a belief in a world with fewer but better products – a guiding principle for Vipp-founder Holger Nielsen. Vipp joins the ‘Less but Better’ movement cleverly formulated by Dieter Rams in the 70s. Guided by durability and quality rather than impermanence and tendencies within trends and technology, all Vipp products are designed with a determination to rethink how we live with objects.

DESIGN EXPERIENCE In times of obsession with newness, we advocate staying power. Our intent links to inheritance. Durability in function is supported by highquality materials and Vipp’s broad availability of spare parts. Combined with timelessness in form, this will allow a Vipp product to be handed over to the next generation as storied and patinized objects. Staying power resides in a powerful product experience. Our ambition is to transform products from mere objects into design experiences. A silent closure, a subtle sound, a tactile touch, a delicate detail, a material mastery can elevate a seemingly simple object into a sensory and enduring encounter.

SPEND A NIGHT WITH VIPP Vipp has upscaled the product experience by venturing into larger architecture and spatial design projects. Under the umbrella of Vipp Hotel a series of one-room wonders unfold and offer uniquely curated rooms at destinations out of the ordinary. Check-in and tune out in the Vipp Shelter on a Swedish lake, opt for farm-life feel in a converted Danish farmhouse from 1775, or admire the towering chimney in a rare, historic factory turned sophisticated sanctuary. With a growing portfolio of hotel destinations, guests are invited to experience Vipp in its natural habitat.

In 2023, Vipp opens the gates to a 13th century Italian palazzo transformed into a pop-up hotel experience fusing Scandinavian minimalism with Baroque maximalism. Waking up under 3-meter-high fresco-adorned ceilings as the only guest in the hotel gives plenty of room for an extraordinary, gilded getaway.

LESS VIP. MORE VIPP. A new sensory dimension has been added to the Vipp experience. Catering to eyes, ears, and tastebuds, the Vipp Supper Club is the social side of Vipp. People coming together in venues that are quite a mouthful in their own. We have sharpened the pencil and drawn up our first supper club destination in a former factory and a second venue hides behind the gates of a former auto garage. Both venues unveil a curious mix of food, art, design, architecture, and music. Talented chefs from around the world serve fabulous food on the plate and food for thought in the conversation.

HOLGER HAD A GOOD IDEA. IT ENDED UP IN MOMA

At its core, the story of Vipp is largely one of innovation. An entrepreneurial spirit unites Marie Axelsen and Holger Nielsen in the small town of Randers, Denmark in 1939. At the request of his wife, Holger crafts a practical waste bin for Marie’s newly opened hairdressing salon. Initially a token of love, never a business idea, this product becomes Holger’s entrepreneurial debut. After experiencing the sturdy, pedal-controlled bin, the ladies in the salon ensure that the bin finds its way into their husbands’ dental and medical clinics. Demand prompts Holger to scale-up production of his bin that soon becomes a permanent feature in Danish clinics.

When Holger passes away in the beginning of the nineties, his daughter Jette inherits the bin and a metal workshop in the backyard of her childhood home in Randers, Jutland. She cannot bear to see her father’s legacy vanish. For 50 years the bin has been a prerogative for the professional market, but Jette’s dream is to cross the threshold to private homes. Jette is joined by her children, Kasper and Sofie, and together they set out to transform the bin into a brand. When the bin gets accepted into the permanent design and architecture collection at MoMA in New York, the family knows that they are on the right track. Today, with its steadfast commitment to product engineering and design, Vipp equals a full-blown design universe of products rich in quality, tactility, and materiality with a shared design philosophy taken straight out of the bin.

Sculpture Pendant

Ancient mouth blowing techniques have been used to shape the dome of three-layered reeded glass characterising the new Sculpture pendant. Ideal for lighting up the dining table either alone or with a series of pendants, the opaque lamp omits a warm omni-light slightly subdued through its outer frosted glass layer. A conical tube in gun metal finish surrounds the fabriccovered wire and continues through the shade for a sophisticated finish underneath the dome.

Open-Air Collection

Imagine if Vipp iterated its coveted furniture pieces for the great outdoors, merged its material mastery and ingenious engineering with flora, fauna, and open skies. First of its kind, the Vipp Open-Air collection owe its name to the functional intent of outdoor use, while equally referencing the airiness and fluidity that underpin the design ethos – light expressions of organically shaped solid materials.

Immediately identifiable shapes and details recognised from Vipp’s indoor furniture are echoed in the outdoor collection consisting of a dining table, a chair, two sofas, a duo of coffee tables and a lounge chair. The Open-Air series follows a design language attuned to Vipp's brand heritage and predilection for molded metal but with novel material additions like rattan, teak, and curated outdoor-friendly textile.

DINING ROOM

A scratch on a wooden tabletop or patinated leather on the seat of a dining chair are all traces of daily use, manifested memories. When it comes to our dining room furniture, the ability to age gracefully is revealed by long-term use and defined by the surrounding environment. Shaped from solid materials, the Vipp dining room assortment is designed to withstand the test of time in both function and aesthetics. A dining table featuring a steel frame and a tabletop of either heat-pressed ceramics or dark oak, a slender yet sturdy steel-framed chair, and an additional series of solid oak and padded furniture, the Cabin- and Lodge series constitutes our take on long-lasting furniture fitted for the dining room.

The tables feature a solid steel frame and carries a tabletop of either heat pressed ceramics or chevron-patterned dark oak. The rounded edges and hovering tabletop provide a soft and light expression to the sturdy components. A custom designed extension plate is available. The tables are available in two sizes.

Cabin Square Table

The new eight person Cabin square table features a limestone tabletop sourced in Burgundy, France. The light grey stone with notes of brown holds a characteristic surface where a soft brush technique safeguards the natural structure of a hard stone. Supporting the heavy top are two parallel legs in dark solid oak carved with vertical ridges.

Cabin Round Table

The Cabin round table offers a solid wood base of either light or dark oak. A variety of inimitable stone tops in either grey marble or Jura Grau Blau limestone give the opportunity to customise according to aesthetic preferences. Distinct refinement and attention to detail are unveiled through the subtle woodwork of the base and the round, sanded edges of the tabletop available in either Ø130 or Ø150.

Vipp Chair

The very first Vipp chair offers a solid, powder-coated or polished aluminium frame with rounded armrests and a small, supportive backrest. Slender armrests continue straight into the discreetly padded backrest, giving the chair an almost airy expression despite of its solid components. The chair is available with leather upholstery.

Cabin Chair

The Cabin chair features rounded components of solid oak and a hovering veneer seat. Meticulous detailing is unveiled in the subtle construction of the chair, demonstrated through the invisible joints that make the chair look as cut in one piece. Cabin Counter Stool

The Cabin counter stool is made for a kitchen counter. The stool features rounded components of solid oak and a hovering veneer seat with an affixed cushion in either sand or black leather 02. A supportive steel footrest ensures stability. Details p.123

Lodge Chair

The Lodge chair presents a moulded soft shell and legs of either light or dark oak. An organic, clam-shaped shell is carried by conical legs of solid oak. The smooth transition from shell to legs is derived from complex design techniques. The Lodge chair can be customised in a curated range of upholsteries.

Lodge Counter Chair

The Lodge counter chair was originally designed for the V2 kitchen as a comfortable seating option at the kitchen bar extension. As the third chair in the Lodge series, the counter iteration raises up the fully upholstered, moulded shell resting on four long, conical legs. A tubular metal ring binds the dark oak legs together and offers a footrest for long-seated dinners in the kitchen.

We come here to retreat. We come here to gather. Alone or together, our collection of furniture for the living room enables individual sentiments of home. Whether opting for small seating or an extensive lounger, the modular elements of the Vipp sofa system allow for customised comfort. A predefined selection of high-quality upholstery is available for personalisation. The powder-coated steel frame of the two sofas, Loft and Chimney, is a recurring element on the Vipp lounge chair and the trio of coffee tables. The Lodge series and Cabin series manifest Vipp’s venture into the furniture category and desire to add a new tactile dimension to Vipp's traditionally steel-born universe. Loft Sofa

Named after Vipp Loft, our 2nd hotel room, the Loft sofa features a wide, angular shape with a wood and steel construction, carried by a slender frame of powder-coated steel. Foam together with a mix of polyfibre are wrapped around a solid birch wooden interior frame. Its modular nature allows for individualised design solutions. Chimney Cabinet

The Chimney cabinet is a standalone storage solution. Four open shelfs for items on display meet two closed cupboards for hidden objects in a purposely designed asymmetry. Cupboard fronts in fluted, anodized aluminium work as a tactile contrast to the carved solid oak frame and the grey marble insertion, topping the cupboard. The dark oak structure rests on spindly metal legs offering a light expression to a cabinet that can carry heavy weight.

Cabin Lounge Chair

A iteration of the Cabin series, the Cabin Lounge chair marries oak, leather, and paper cord. Designed for the lounge area, the broad and double-padded, fixed seat cushion in leather invites for relaxation. Slender armrests and legs frame the slightly bending seat and backrest while adding an airy expression to the solid oak. The light look is enhanced by the perforated pattern of tactile-rich, woven paper cord.

The Lodge lounge chair features a moulded soft shell and legs of light or dark oak. Lodge Footstool & Neck Rest

The Lodge footstool is a comfortable addition to extend the seating experience of the Lodge lounge chair. With a corresponding design, the Lodge footstool is available in carefully curated upholsteries.

The Lodge neck rest is a customised, retrofitted pillow for the Lodge lounge chair. With its cylinder shape and soft upholstery, the neck rest provides an enhanced seating experience. A aluminium bar is attached to slim, adjustable straps for easy de-and attachment. This distinctive design ensures ergonomic comfort, while keeping the neck rest in place.

The side table features a slim frame of powder-coated aluminium with a three-piece veneer tabletop. Chimney Shelves

Vipp continues its trip into the woods with a duo of dark oak shelves. Available in 60 and 120 cm of length, the two shelves hold the same depth and can be combined in countless, personalised compositions. Illumination. A simple, yet important element to make you feel more at ease or awake. The atmosphere of a room can be defined by good or bad lighting, both in forms of intensity and placement. Nestled in our industrial design tradition, our ever-growing lamp series prides to cover all needs for optimal lighting with options for the table, floor, wall, ceiling and even outdoors. To the array of classic Vipp metal lamps with perforated shells, we now add a new layer of tactile tenderness to our lighting scheme.

Textured paper shades ignite the collection with a soft and cosy lighting option inspired by Asian paper craft and lantern traditions. The Sculpture table lamp doubles as a decorative sculpture shaped in glass and solid marble.

Desk Lamp

The desk lamp is suitable as a work lamp for the office or the home. Equipped with an adjustable arm, finger screws, and a solid base for stability, the steel lamp shade is designed with 1539 perforations, allowing for soft light to be let out through the solid surface. The lamp comes with self-standing support and an insert variant is available to be installed directly in a desk.

Wall Lamps

The wall lamp is a versatile wall light functional for both private and public spaces. Available in a long and short arm version, the lamp features a flexible, adjustable arm for focused lighting and a perforated lampshade for a pleasant diffusion of light. An internal spring ensures a proper posture while finger screws in stainless steel add support. The braided power cord is internally routed in the lamp, only peeking out through the joints.

Wall Spot

The wall spot is a functional wall light ideal for the bathroom, hallway, kitchen or living room. It features a perforated lampshade and matte glass for a pleasant diffusion of light. Even though it is the smallest of the Vipp lamps, the wall spot is as versatile as it is functional, shining a balanced light on every space. Available in black, white or warm grey.

Floor Reading Lamp

The floor reading lamp is a reading light ideal for the living room. Fitted with details such as an adjustable arm for focused lighting, the lamp also features a perforated shade and matte glass for a balanced diffusion of light. Outdoor Wall Spot

The outdoor wall spot is custom-made for outdoor facades. Organically shaped from industrial materials, the simple design of the outdoor wall spot complements both classic as well as contemporary architecture. It is made from powder-coated aluminium and stainless steel with matte glass and a perforated lamp shade. The lamp is also suitable for indoor use. Available in light grey or black.

Paper Pendant

Ancient paper craft methods have been used in the creation of the Paper pendant. The textured surface of the paper lampshade adds a pleasant light diffusion, ideal to illuminate smaller areas in a large space such as the dining table. This pendant features an interior metal grid and is supported by adjustable wires and a transparent cord.

Paper Floor Lamp

Inspired by Japanese paper lantern traditions, the Vipp Paper floor lamp fuses Asian design craft with a cosy, subdued lighting recognised in the Scandinavian decor. The textured lampshade is carried by a slender tripod of conical, powercoated aluminum legs, adding solidity to the lightness of the paper lampshade. A power cord internally routes through the three-legged lamp stand for a clean and refined expression.

The Vipp Sculpture lamp has been versioned for the dining table in a new pendant model. Engineered detailing and a softly diffused light through three layers of mouth-blown glass convey a sophisticated illumination to social gatherings around the table.

The Sculpture table lamps are named after their sculptural appearance shaped in marble and glass. A durable LED unit is hidden under a three-layer opal glass shade, offering a soft omni light. In our house, the party always starts and ends in the kitchen. For 10 years we have perfected our very first kitchen system, the V1, and its design principles of high-quality materials and functional detailing are still the essence of a Vipp kitchen. While we continuously refine and repeat the engineering of the V1, the design remains the same. Our intention is to craft a design classic with a persisting shape that survives shifts in trends and taste. More than 80 years of steel savoir-faire sculpts the industrial character of the V1. With its free-standing, modular anatomy, the nomadic kitchen has crossed many borders and thresholds to homes worldwide. The party can begin.

ONE DESIGN, FOUR MODULES

Our modular kitchen can be built from four different modules: island-, island with seating-, wall-, and tall module. Whether fitted for open-plan cooking, a classic workstation against the wall or for the need of maximum storage, each module can be composed of up to 10 units. The V1 kitchen is available in three powder-coated colour variants, black, grey and white, with a stainless steel worktop. All appliances are included.

FRAME, FRONTS & WORKTOP

The fronts of the Vipp kitchen are made from powder-coated steel, which is highly durable and resistant to daily wear and tear. The corners of the stainless steel work-top and powder-coated aluminium frame are rounded for a soft take on industrial materials. The solid, one-piece, stainless steel table top is 4 mm thick and floats above the kitchen cabinet to add a light expression to a heavy-weight material.

Ceramics

The rounded shapes, glazed interior and hand-polished exterior make up the peculiar characteristics of the Vipp ceramic collection consisting of cups, plates, bowls, a pot, and a milk jug. The small collection of simple ceramics is hand-casted in high-quality porcelain.

For many years we have developed and refined the most essential products for the bathroom to operate in this very environment. Functionality is the essence of the Vipp bathroom series. Swivel Chair

Originating from the core design of the Vipp451 chair, this chair shares the same choice of materials; an aluminium frame and leather upholstery. In difference, the seat of the swivel chair rests on a pillar that branches out in a 4-legged base on either wheels or gliders, allowing for a 360° seat rotation. Available with a black aluminium frame and black leather 03 or a polished aluminium frame with sand, green or black leather 03 upholstery.

Rack

The rack is a modular shelving system. Inspired by the industrial shelving systems of many hobby rooms, the rack is industrially designed in black powder-coated steel and aluminium with matching shelves.

Elle is a new textile by the premium fabric décor company, Sahco. With nearly two hundred years of experience in the world of textiles, elevated quality is a guarantee. The large bouclé loops accentuate the threedimensional character of the fabric while adding depth and thickness.

Together with textile specialists Sacho and Kvadrat, Vipp has created a unique version of the Safire upholstery. The name Sombre, meaning dark, refers to the predominantly dark-toned textile whereas Safire 04 offers a brighter beige. A thick bouclé in dark grey is interwoven with an off-white chenille yarn, fabricating a one of a kind 3D structure and graphic pattern.

Coda 2 Hazel is the result of a collaboration between Vipp and Kvadrat. The unique textile combines a graphic, textured surface and a sophisticated colour to very lively effect. From a distance it appears monochrome, but when zooming in the pattern reveals a second colour. Made from high-durability wool, Coda 2 Hazel is woven in two layers, one in light grey and a discreet hazel-brown layer underneath.
