This is done by inserting a special suction device directly into the unwanted fat. The fat is then broken up into small pieces and suctioned out of the body.

Once the fat is physically removed from the body, the patient will have a slimmer appearance. Liposuction is not approved for massive weight loss, so it can only be performed on people that have a moderate amount of excess fat.
