From the Editor: Greetings to you all. It’s been a quiet period for club events, but things are starting to roll again after the break. Digby Gemmell and Colin Lewis have organised what promises to be a nice day’s run next weekend and we’ve just had the Skope meeting. Well done to club members who entered for putting on a good show, very enjoyable I must say. This month’s newsletter includes an interesting article (actually, an academic transcript) by Philip Guilfoyle of Victoria, Australia on the remanufacture of a cylinder block and integral head for the 1914 GP Delage. This car is the sole survivor and along with the integral head has the added complications of four valves per cylinder and desmodromic valve actuation. One cannot help but admire the skill of the craftsmen (I presume they were men) who produced the originals over a hundred years ago. Phil was the project Manager for the project and has kindly allowed us to re-print the paper he submitted. It is copyrighted, so please do not copy it. For those of you who receive Dripfeed in the mail, I recommend that you try to get a look at it on a computer as there are numerous colour photos and drawings which translate poorly in printed black and white form. Regards Craig If you wish to receive Dripfeed by email, please let us know. _______________________________________________________________________________
