Connie Moreland said her ‘Free To Good Home’ group is about building community, sustainability By MICHAEL ROMAIN Editor
It all started with an old teddy bear. “My daughter had this teddy bear she had been holding onto forever and one day she said she didn’t want it anymore, but I didn’t want to just throw it away,” said Oak Park physician Connie Moreland, who resolved the dilemma after visiting her 26-year-old daughter’s apartment in Chicago’s Uptown community. “I went to visit her and she had all these See FACEBOOK GROUP on page 3

In his memo, Jurusik said Broadview vaccination policy “directly affects Maywood employees who work at the Eisenhower Emergency Communications Center (‘IKE 911 Center’), which was established in 2018 by Broadview and Maywood via intergovernmental agreement.” Maywood and Broadview employees share space in the IKE 911 Center, which is See MANDATE on page 5
