Maywood business plans expansion National Cycle Inc. wants to build a new building, retention basin By MICHAEL ROMAIN Editor

National Cycle Inc., located at 2200 S. Maywood Drive in Maywood, is planning to expand its manufacturing operations by building a roughly 28,0000-square-foot building nearby. The company, which makes windshields and accessories for motorcycles, among other products, also plans to install a retention basin in an area south of the proposed facility. During an Oct. 17 regular meeting, the Maywood Board of Trustees voted unanimously to move the proposal to the Plan Commission / Zoning Board of Appeals. Trustees Antonio Sanchez, Melvin Lightford and Ron Rivers were absent. The plan commission will make a recommendation to the village board on whether or not it should grant a range of zoning changes that are required for the proposed construction.
