Municipalities across the western suburbs are responding to President Donald Trump's executive orders on immigration by passing pro-immigrant welcoming resolutions and considering sanctuary city ordinances.

Maywood and Broadview will likely consolidate their 911 dispatch centers, with services for both towns eventually moving into Broadview's new multi-jurisdiction center.

Maywood is threatening to shut down LNR Family Store, 1010 S. 5th Ave. The business was caught again selling illegal cigarettes.

Maywood lands a food truck

When Maywood native and Proviso East graduate Chris Jossell decided that he wanted to put his culinary education to use and open a food truck, he didn’t go to area
