New 911 dispatch system coming to Maywood, Broadview State law requires both towns to consolidate their dispatch systems By MICHAEL ROMAIN Editor
The villages of Maywood and Broadview have entered into an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) establishing a consolidated 911 dispatch system and communication center. The Ike Joint Emergency Telephone System will operate out of the Eisenhower Emergency Communication Center, located inside of a building addition that will be constructed adjacent Broadview’s administrative building at 2350 S. 25th Ave., in Broadview. Rashad Glover makes arms from 3-D printers, teaches craft to youths By MICHAEL ROMAIN Editor
Rashad Glover is an industrial designer by profession. His passion, though, is making arms on a 3-D printer for disabled
people who most need them. “We pretty much find people who need arms in the ‘urban’ environment, 3-D scan them, then 3-D print custom prosthetics for recipients at no cost to them,” Glover said
