The whole progress could be a lifetime experience where you will be on a roller coaster of actions and emotions! Joining this oneday charity program with Asiana Travel Mate, you will have the opportunity to visit traditional market, and learn how to prepare and cook a selection of favourite dishes. Brace yourself for the challenge of using and mastering chopsticks. Yet, on top of all, you will have to put yourself to extreme limit when cooking for more than 130 kids and adults on time and within budget. You will not have the luxury of burning a dish or two. Want to get your hands even dirtier? We can always arrange a position for you as waiter or waitress to serve the kids. Most importantly, your effort will not come to waste, there will be invaluable prizes up for grab. Judgment will be based on your performance and votes from the orphans. Are you up for the challenge and fun at the same time? Join us! 8:00: Gather at Dong Khoi’s office. Advanced breakfast is recommended, even though normal hamburger will be available. Pick up from your hotel by taxi can be arrange upon request. 8:10: Get on the bus, heading to Phat Huy center 8:30: On the way, we will drop by a traditional market where everything still works almost the same way it was hundreds of years ago. Everyone will be divided into groups. Each group has 30 minutes purchase specific materials for cooking. Daily hassle of bargaining can be annoying, however, promises lots of fun for firsttimer. 9:00 : Upon arrival, you will be introduced to Nun Hanh, the center’s manager. She is going to brief you about the history of Phat Huy center and we make a short tour to see the facilities. 9:30: Get down to real business, cook for 130 kids and adults under the Chef’s guidance. Again, each group will take care of a specific dish, while someone cooks, others have to prepare and the rest, what else but to clean up! 12:00 Finish off everything and get the foods displayed on tables for buffet. This socalled buffet requires you to stand besides the table and help the kids with getting foods. 13:30: Everyone has to be very hungry now, it is time to taste your own cooking! Do not take too much time though, there are plenty of plates waiting for you to wash. No worries, we will all do this together!
