Veterans Community Project (VCP) is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in Kansas City, Missouri by a group of combat Veterans frustrated by the rampant homelessness within the Veteran population.
VCP refuses to let any Veteran fall through the cracks. From providing innovative, transitional housing to walk-in support services, VCP serves any Veteran who took the oath to protect our country, regardless of discharge status or type of service.
Believing the sacred rule of “leave no one behind” extends to the battlefields of civilian life, VCP harnesses the strength and support of a community, ensuring all Veterans have a clear path forward and hope for a better future.

VILLAGE ( KANSAS CITY, MO)Using the success of Kansas City as a blueprint, VCP has the long-term goal of preventing and ending Veteran homelessness across the nation, beginning in St. Louis, Missouri.
On September 9, 2021, VCP broke ground on the St. Louis campus, a 3.5 acre property located on Aldine Avenue between N. Spring Avenue and N. Grand Avenue (63113).
Purchased largely from the city's land bank (LRA), the Veterans Community Project of St. Louis campus includes a village of 50 tiny homes, a Village Community Center, and a VCP Outreach Center.
This new campus will not only provide critical resources to St. Louis metro-area Veterans, it will:
• Beautify a once blighted area, increasing property values of surrounding homes and businesses
• Provide ongoing opportunities for community volunteerism
• Strengthen St. Louis' social services sector
Community isn't just part of our name, it's part of our DNA. Veterans Community Project is funded by individuals, foundations, and corporations who want to do more than thank a Veteran for their service.
Over the next year, thousands of community volunteers will help build VCP Village and thousands more will help us serve Veterans through the VCP Outreach Center for years to come.
VCP is St. Louis' community project.
Now is your opportunity to permanently leave your mark on this life-changing, community-changing mission. Join us as a founding partner and help serve those who served us.

In contrast with traditional homeless services, VCP Village provides Veterans with the privacy and security of their own homes.
The residents live free of charge closely with VCP case managers to resolve the issues that led to their homelessness. The average length of stay is 319 days.
The 50 tiny homes are built on concrete foundations, connect to city utilities, and meet all code requirements for new construction. fully-functional kitchen, bathroom, and living space.
Every detail of the tiny home is designed with Veterans’ needs in mind, including placement of doors and windows to increase a sense of security for those impacted by post-traumatic stress disorder.
