Veterans Community Project (VCP) of Longmont is a pioneering initiative focused on fixing Veteran homelessness through transitional housing and comprehensive wraparound support. Founded in 2016 by a group of combat Veterans in Kansas City, VCP provides Veterans experiencing homelessness with more than just shelter—we offer dignity, stability, and a path forward. VCP of Kansas City features a purpose-built Village of tiny homes, for individuals and families, designed to provide privacy, comfort, and a strong foundation for rebuilding. Each fully furnished home includes a kitchen, bathroom, furniture, and essentials like food and hygiene items. Beyond housing, VCP delivers wraparound services tailored to each Veteran’s needs. Using the H.O.M.E.S. Index, case managers help Veterans identify goals and track progress in areas like health, income, education, and support systems. Our proven model, with an 85% success rate, means most residents transition to permanent housing.
