10th anniversary This magazine is very special for me because there are many years of friendship with Sofia, in fact, before I even started in the world of fashion she organized my wedding in Second Life.
Esta magazine es muy especial para mí pues son muchos años de amistad con Sofía, de hecho, antes aun de comenzar en el mundo de la moda cuando organizó mi boda en Second Life. Tuve el inmenso honor de ser la Musa de Celestinas en el 2013 y representar a una emblemática marca que representa el amor, la ilusión, la felicidad, la esperanza, sin olvidar la elegancia de sus diseños que nos vestirán en el día más importante de nuestras vidas.

Shena: I’m so delighted to have the opportunity to interview you and make the world know a little more of that part of you that I met years ago but maybe many people missed.
n this special issue of Versus, I am pleased to pay homage to one of the greatest icons of Second Life, Celestinas and her designer of course. For years hundreds of couples celebrated their wedding with Celestinas, materializing their dreams for such an important day in their lives. I don’t say it for hearsay since I celebrated my wedding and anniversary with Celestinas too and I can say that they were the most magical days of all my years in SL.
Do you remember that particular moment when the dream of creating a wedding celebration company in SL came through your mind and how did this idea arise? I would love to know this first steps of what today is Celestinas Empire. Sofia: Hello, Shena! How nice to be the star of a special issue of Versus, a magazine born from your creativity that I admire so much. We’ve known each other for seven years! Thank you for being here in Celestinas.
Celestinas always has that scenario you want and if they don’t have it, they realize it for you, taking care of every detail, every corner, every moment, they customize it according your desires. Sofia Corleone, owner and designer of Celestinas, has been creating wedding and gala dresses for many years. No one can get confused seeing a Sofia’s dress as glamour and elegance are her distinctive traits.

I can say that Celestinas was the first Spanishspeaking place to celebrate weddings in Second Life. We were very successful, the word of mouth made us grow up. I have also had the luck to work with people who are great professionals and love this job. Cintia, Avril, Sony, Shinya, Luz, Amelie, Memi, Canela, Xaray ... to name just a few of the people who helped and dedicated their time and love to Celestinas.
Sofia is one of the most romantic women I have ever met in this world, one of those people who puts her great heart in everything she does. It is not surprising that she has dedicated these latest 10 years to fulfil love dreams and turning women into princesses.

We have always been a real team and we are passionate in what we do. People perceive this and that’s why we’re still here.
or were orders of brides who wanted something similar to a dress they had seen in RL, in videos or in Internet. Other times my inspiration comes from designs I see in SL or RL, from the fragrance of a perfume or from a movie. Recently I created an ensemble for an event, inspired by the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”. I like that every design I realize is elegant, sophisticated, romantic, with veils but, above all, it must be a dress that I would wear and that would catch the looks of every person.
Shena: I always see you share pics of RL beautiful wedding and gala dresses, and this shows how passionate in them you are! At what point of your life did you start to create your own wedding and gala gowns? Sofia: It was in 2010 that I began encouraging myself to create my own designs of wedding and gala dresses. People were more and more demanding and asked me for a special wedding dress or looking for models fit for their style. I learned the basics to be able to work with Photoshop and through tests and errors, tutorials, tips given me by some friends and my daughter Amelie, I learned it.
Shena: You took part to many of the biggest events in SL. You lived thousands of experiences in events, competitions and so on ... do you remember the best and worst of all these experiences? You don’t need to tell me what, just name the experience Sofia: I’ve always believed the best of all experiences is to meet great people. Their company during the hours I spend here is what I really miss when I turn off the computer. Throughout my life I met people who supported me and gave me a hand to grow up and they are still there after many years. Bad experiences are the unspoken words, those that remain in the

I got into the fashion world to get the chance to know this world better from its inside. That’s where I met you, Shena, participating in some beauty pageants. a strong character, I say what I feel without a filter, and that is often something that annoys. I never hid behind my avatar, on the contrary. Physically I do not look like Sofia but, as once said a friend of mine of RL, who knows Sofia meets Viviana too. Which means I conveyed my soul to my avi.
squid. A lot of times things are not properly communicated or phone messages are fragmented so that they are not clear and they don’t remain in the head. Shena: You are a person with a big heart, and all who have it normally pass through great joys and great disappointments in their lives. What has been your worst moment in all these SL years?
There are several things in SL that I am afraid of, e.g. those perverse people who do not know how to play if not harming others and they have no problem to discredit, harass or disturbing people in order to get noticed ... They just live to hurt other people. I’m afraid of hypocrisy, of the fear to get involved in something, of lies and envy, of not recognizing errors ... ugh, many things. But I learned to get a little out of it. I think it’s better to put my mind on healthier things such as design and build.
Sofia: More than a moment it is to feel the disappointment of giving everything and not being paid with the same coin. But, as my father said, we are human and the one who repents in the deep of the heart is worth of a chance.
Shena: Now you have another casual clothing brand, Alter. What are your professional projects in SL in the short term? Will there be any change or will you continue to carry forward all your multiple projects?
Shena: You always helped many new girls both supporting them and encouraging them, as they were creating their outfits for competitions or giving them the opportunity to be known to the rest of the community so that they could climb a little bit more in this difficult world of fashion. Did you always get gratitude and friendship from them afterwards or did they forget you once they achieved their goal?
Sofia: There will always be changes! Without change there is no evolution and Celestinas is in constant evolution. I have new projects in mind and the closest is to create my own mesh.
Sofia: The world of fashion is a world with many vertices and yes, I was disappointed, especially with people who were very close to me and betrayed me. But there is the other side, as there are many models that always send me messages thanking for everything I did for them. We all know each other and we know very well who is who.
Shena: Finally, a personal question related to your SL that I am sure we are all curious to know. What would your wedding dream be like in real life? Sofia: I love nature and I would bet on getting married on a beach, in the countryside or in the woods. A place where you breathe fresh and clean air would be the ideal for me. The decor would be modern and chic, with candles lamps and flowers.
Shena: Just as love moves your life, I know you enough to say that friendship is one of the values that you have in the highest regard. Can you define what friendship is for you? Sofia: There is a phrase that quotes “to walk the path to happiness is much easier with the one you can trust”
For the menu, it would be cool to combine Mexican and Argentinean food, an explosion of flavors and colors! And, of course, Gergis waiting for me at the seashore, along with all the people I want to be with us to witness our big day.
Shena: I know that you had great disappointments in SL, but I also know you forgave and forgot many others. What would you never forgive?
It is an honor to have Sofía Corleone in this special issue of Versus and from our pages we wish the greatest of luck in all the present and future projects of this enterprising queen of hearts.
Sofia: I do not like envy in SL, neither dramas, nor lies, nor the willingness to discredit others just for sport but, unluckily, this is something I see every day. We have the great opportunity to make better a world that we live on daily basis, but I see too many people try to make it crueler and harm the others. I forgave many things I never thought I could forgive, but infidelity is something I would never forgive. Shena: Sofía Corleone has the personality of Viviana Arripe, you don’t hide behind a mask. What scares you more in this SL community when it comes to putting your emotions on the table? Sofia: That’s right, I am not different from Sofia. I am like this, enterprising, and if I like something, I invest my time in improving it. I have

poquito más de esa parte de ti que yo conozco hace años pero que tal vez se han perdido muchas personas.
Durante años cientos de parejas han celebrado su boda en Celestinas, materializando los sueños que deseaban para un día tan importante en sus vidas. No escribo esto por escribir, ya que yo misma celebré mi boda y aniversario con ellos y puedo decir que han sido los días más mágicos de todos mis años de SL.
¿Recuerdas ese momento en el que por primera vez te asomó a la cabeza el sueño de crear en SL una empresa de celebraciones de bodas y cómo surgió esta idea? Me encantaría conocer este primer momento de lo que hoy en día es el imperio Celestinas. Sofia: ¡Hola, Shena! que lindo ser parte de Versus y de tu creatividad que tanto admiro. ¡Ya hace como siete años que nos conocemos! Gracias por estar aquí en Celestinas.
Siempre tienen ese escenario que tú deseas, y, si no, te lo hacen, cuidando cada detalle, cada rincón, cada momento.
Con respecto a tu pregunta, me trae muchísimos recuerdos. Vienen a mi mente muchas personas que incluso ya ni entran o que simplemente se han perdido en el tiempo.
Sofia Corleone, owner y diseñadora de Celestinas lleva muchos años también creando vestidos de novia y de gala. Nadie puede confundir cuando ve un vestido de Sofía, el glamour y la elegancia es su sello. Durante años ha creado también vestidos para participantes en concursos de belleza de SL. Ella sabe crear ese vestido apropiado para cada mujer, el color adecuado a su piel, ese diseño que la convertirá en la estrella de la noche.

Con el correr de los meses mis amigos me pedían que les organizase sus bodas, que se las decorase... así conocí a Cinthia Eckersley, a quien le comenté la idea de montar un lugar para celebrar bodas y juntas comenzamos con ello. Ella hablaba también ingles y yo me encargaba de atender a la gente que hablaba español. Un tiempo después aparecería Avril Vallejo quien me propuso que Celestinas tuviese su propio terreno y, actualmente aún seguimos aquí en Dreamsland.
También conocemos a Sofía por la construcción de varias pasarelas para grandes eventos de Second Life, y, una vez más, ella te sorprende con el escenario que justamente tenías en mente dónde cada rincón tiene el más cuidado detalle para la ocasión. Todos conocemos a Sofía por su trabajo, pero para quien quizás no haya tenido el honor de conocer a esta increíble mujer más íntimamente, les ofrecemos esta entrevista más personal que, esperamos disfruten y les dé la oportunidad de descubrir que maravillosa persona hay detrás de Sofía Corleone.

Shena: Siempre te veo compartir fotografías de hermosos vestidos de novia y de gala de RL, te apasionan. ¿En qué momento comenzaste a crear tus propios diseños de novia y gala?
Shena: Siempre has ayudado a muchas chicas nuevas tanto apoyándolas y animándolas, como creando sus vestidos para concursos o dándoles la oportunidad de que el resto de la comunidad vaya conociéndolas y ellas puedan subir un poco más en este difícil mundo de la moda. ¿Siempre has visto ese agradecimiento y amistad de su parte después o te has llevado alguna desilusión cuando han conseguido su objetivo?
Sofía: Fue durante el año 2010 que comencé a animarme a crear mis propios diseños de vestidos de novia y de gala. La gente comenzaba a ponerse más exigente y me pedían un vestido de novia especial o me buscaban modelos para sus estilismos. Aprendí lo básico para poder trabajar con Photoshop y mediante pruebas y errores, tutoriales, consejos que me daban algunos amigos o mi hija Amelie.
Sofía: El mundo de la moda es un mundo con muchos vértices y si, me he desilusionado, sobre todo con personas que eran muy cercanas y me traicionaron. Pero está la otra cara en la que están muchas más modelos que siempre me envían mensajes agradeciendo todo lo que he hecho por ellas. Aquí todos nos conocemos y sabemos muy bien quien es quien.
En mi vida real siempre me ha gustado la decoración de eventos. Mi trabajo real está relacionado con el arte. Era cuestión de aprender las herramientas que ofrece SL para la construcción básica y las herramientas para el diseño de ropa.
Shena: Así como el amor mueve tu vida, te conozco lo suficiente como para saber que la amistad es uno de los valores que tienes en más alta consideración. ¿Me puedes definir qué es para ti la amistad?
Me metí en el mundo de la moda para conocer mejor este mundo desde dentro. Ahí es donde te conocí a ti participando en algunos concursos de belleza. Muchos de mis diseños fueron creados para concursos o han sido un pedido de novias que deseaban algo similar a algún vestido que habían visto en RL, en vídeos o páginas de internet.
Sofía: Hay una frase que dice “Recorrer el camino hacia la felicidad es mucho más fácil con aquel en quien puedes confiar”
Otras veces mi inspiración llega de diseños que veo en SL o RL, de la fragancia de un perfume o de una película. Hace poco hice para un evento un conjunto inspirado en la película “Desayuno con diamantes”. Me gusta que cada diseño que creo sea elegante, sofisticado, romántico, con vuelos y, sobre todo, que sea un vestido que yo me pondría y sentiría todas las miradas en él.
Shena: Sé que te has llevado grandes desilusiones en SL, pero sé que has perdonado y olvidado después otras muchas. ¿Qué no perdonarías jamás? Sofía: No me gusta la envidia en SL, ni los dramas, ni las mentiras, ni el querer desprestigiar a los demás solo por deporte, es algo que veo a diario. Tenemos la oportunidad simplemente de hacer un mundo mejor del que vivimos a diario, pero veo como la gente intenta por cualquier medio hacerlo más cruel y dañar a otros. He perdonado muchas cosas que jamás creí que podría perdonar, pero la infidelidad es algo que no perdonaría jamás.
Shena: Has colaborado en muchos de los más grandes eventos de SL. Has vivido mil experiencias en eventos, concursos... ¿Recuerdas la mejor y peor de todas estas experiencias? No es necesario que me digas en cual, solamente la experiencia (risas) Sofía: Siempre rescato lo mejor de todas las experiencias, el conocer a grandes personas. Su compañía durante las horas que paso aquí es lo que realmente me llevo cuando apago el ordenador.
Shena: Sofía Corleone tiene la personalidad de Viviana Arripe, no hay representaciones contigo. ¿Qué te da más miedo en esta comunidad de SL a la hora de poner tus emociones sobre la mesa?
A lo largo de mi vida he conocido a gente que me ha apoyado y dado la mano para crecer, aun siguen ahí después de muchos años.
Shena: Eres una persona de gran corazón, y todos los que somos así pasamos por grandes alegrías y grandes decepciones en todas nuestras vidas. ¿Cuál ha sido tu peor momento en todos estos años de SL?
Sofía: Es cierto, no me diferencio de Sofía. Yo soy así, emprendedora, y si algo me gusta invierto mi tiempo en mejorarlo. Tengo mucho carácter, soy de decir las cosas que siento sin filtro, y eso, muchas veces es algo que molesta. Nunca me escondí detrás de mi avatar, al contrario. No me parezco físicamente nada a Sofía pero, como dijo una vez una amiga mía de RL, quien me conoce viendo a Sofía, conoce a Viviana. Eso es transmitirle a mi personaje mi alma.
Sofía: Más que un momento es el conocer la desilusión de dar todo y que no te correspondan con la misma moneda. Pero, como decía mi padre, somos humanos y quien de corazón se arrepiente merece
Si hay varias cosas en Sl a las que tengo miedo, por ejemplo a la gente perversa que no sabe jugar sin dañar a otros y que necesita hacerse notar desprestigiando, hostigando, molestando... que no sabe ser sin molestar a otro.
Las malas experiencias se quedan en el tintero. Muchas veces se dan por no comunicarse correctamente y por los teléfonos descompuestos de no ser claros y no ir de frente.

Me da miedo la hipocresía, el no te metas, las mentiras, el no reconocer errores... uf, muchas cosas. Pero me alejé un poco de todo eso. Creo que es mejor poner mi mente en cosas sanas como diseñar y construir. Shena: Ahora tienes otra marca de ropa casual, Alter. ¿Cuáles son a corto plazo tus proyectos profesionales en SL? ¿Tendremos algún cambio o seguirás llevando hacia adelante todos tus múltiples proyectos?
tu boda de ensueño en tu vida real? Sofía: Amo la naturaleza y apostaría por casarme en una playa, en el campo o en el bosque. Un lugar en el que se respire aire fresco y limpio sería el ideal para mí. La decoración sería moderna y chic, con lámparas de caideles y flores.
Sofía: ¡Cambios siempre habrá! Sin cambios no hay evolución y Celestinas es una evolución constante. Hay nuevos proyectos en mente y, el más cercano es el de crear nuestro propio mesh.
En cuánto al menú, sería algo delicioso combinando comida mexicana y argentina, ¡una explosión de sabores y colores! Y, por supuesto, a Gergis esperándome a la orilla del mar, junto a toda la gente que quiero acompañándonos cómo testigos ese gran día.
Shena: Por último, una pregunta personal relacionada con tu SL que estoy segura de que todos tenemos curiosidad en conocer. ¿Cómo sería
