decade. He is the owner and president of J.P. Farley Corporation, an employee benefits business located in Lakewood, which he has run for over 40 years. Jim was first introduced to Verb Ballets through his Pilates instructor, Troy McCarty, who had choreographed a work for the company that premiered at Cleveland Public Theatre. He attended that performance and kept coming back to see more! He brings a wealth of knowledge to the Verb Ballets board and tries to apply what he has learned with his company to Verb—and vice versa. As former board president, Jim worked hard to help grow the company’s revenue above $500,000 and gain more prominence. With active support from other board members, he achieved this goal. He is constantly inspired by the dedication to the craft that those involved with Verb have. He also part of a national trade organization, St. Ed’s Alumni Association, his condo’s home owner’s association, and the Cleveland chapter of the American Heart Association’s Executive Leadership Team. Although he still works full time, he reads a lot, enjoys driving his old convertible, exercise, and looks forward to traveling around Europe post-COVID.
