Ten years from now, I hope to have finished medical school and have become a doctor. Top things on your bucket list? I want to travel across Europe, save somebody’s life, and go skydiving. When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up? I always wanted to be a zookeeper, because animals are pretty awesome. Favorite teacher? My favorite teacher is definitely Mr. Vennekotter.

Alexis Kelley

“Shoot for the Moon” would be a phrase to describe Sarah Benson Alexis Kelley’s ambitions. This standout senior has a dream to one day walk on the moon. As a youngster, Kelley wanted to be an astronaut. Since NASA had a significant cut-back on spending her career aspiration changed, but her desire to walk on the moon has remained the same. This could possibly be a reason why she has chosen to attend The University of Toledo, Home of the Rockets. Kelley is a leader in the classroom, on the stage, and in athletics. She is ranked number 1 in the senior class for her 4.0 GPA, is a 4 year member of The Association, and has helped the girl’s golf team to a state birth. Kelley has accomplished an even more impressive feat than excelling significantly in high school; she has received contingent admission into UT’s Pharmacy Program and is a winner of the Pharmacy Excellence Award, which will provide her tuition for the next 4 years. Congratulations to Alexis Kelley, and good luck in the future. What is your advice to students when school gets tough: My advice to students when school gets tough is to just get more comfortable with your teachers. A teacher is there to help students and I know it sounds cliché but they will help. Favorite golf memory: My favorite memory was my last hole at the state golf tournament my junior year. I was on the tee box of my last hole on the Grey Course in Columbus and I hadn’t had one par in the past 35 holes that I had played. I eventually took a par on the hole by changing my mindset. What will your life be like 10 years from now: Ten years from now I imagine I’ll have a hot husband that will do whatever I tell him and of course loves me very dearly. I’ll be a big time pharmacist that manages hundreds of different retail pharmacies around the state and therefore making tons of dough. I’ll maybe have a child or two depending on how it is all playing out. I’ll have a dog for sure though. Top things on her bucket list: 1. Walk on the moon 2. Write and create a Nancy Drew PC Game 3. Discover a new kind of sea creature Favorite high school class: My favorite high school class is any class with Mr.Rader. Some advice to the young ones: take every Photos Courtesy of the Yearbook Staff Rader class possible, he is the man.
