Our Major projects division has secured the Project management and Health and safety advise for the constr uction of a concrete plant in Thamesport. This project has proven to be very challenging, not only for the heavy requirements imposed by the Goverment and Thamesport in terms or Health and safety on site but also for the tight deadlines set up on the Main Contractor. Speak to our London office you are looking for Project Management or Health and safety advice.

From the PMI (Project Management Institute) point of view, Cost Management is one of the three key points for the Triple Constraint, along with Scope and Time. Thusgiving cost control a key importance in the whole process Getting to this point, we need to make a decision about which cost-control solution to select, among those existing in the market. Which questions may we raise in order to select the best software - and therefore ease our company's benefits to increase? Let me point down some : • What are the goals and objectives of our project? • Which are the target industries and markets of our company? • Do we want to integrate our Accounting in such software? • How long wil l implementation take and what does staff training look like?

Answer yourself the above to be closer to get the software that better suits your needs. Cost-controlling software is intended to give great added value to your work from the first day. But remember: do not make a quick decision on this. Your projects will relay on it, and your company relays on your projects. José Llorca - Senior Construction Consultant at VARO Consulting 2
