Technology. Design. Requirement.

The perceived and real value of a J.F. REY frame blend in together and are based on three immovable key points: technical innovation, unexpected design, and manufacturing quality. Continuous creativity, coherent style and proven technicality are the essence of the J.F. REY spirit.

J.F. REY frames are manufactured both manually and industrially depending on the model but also on the materials used (metal, acetate, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, wood, carbon). These materials are often combined to create sophisticated hybrid designs, wearable and attractive. Because technicality is at the service of aesthetics, it does not suffer from any approximation.

Form follows function.

A frame is not only an exercise of style, but it must also meet the requirements of comfort, aesthetics, and ergonomics. Our designers overcome the constraints of function with the emotion of shapes, materials, and the enthusiasm of colors. This is the foundation of our reputation, which is based on creative honesty. Experimenting, inventing, surprising, thinking outside the box while adhering to a bold and balanced guideline.

At the crossroads of new technologies.

Screwless flex hinge. High Performance Stainless Steel.

Our Olympus frames are equipped with a patented screwless flex hinge developed by our design studio. It unveils three two-tone stainless-steel models with PVD finishing in a minimalist style, and three models worked in acetate in a chic and timeless style.

7 METAL /OLYMPUS

Carbon fiber is at the core of our most sophisticated designs. Developed in 2018, the CARBON CORE collection is the result of our ambition to combine technology and traditional eyewear in a high-end product. A contemporary style mixed with vintage references, it is a seductive and universal design due to the diversity of shapes, sizes, and materials that it is made of.

Powered by Carbon.

Built around a stainless-steel structure, the front and temples are made of compressed carbon sheets (as resistant and 40% lighter than titanium), and are decorated with glass fibers of different colors, wood, or acetate tops.

The end of the temples is made of acetate to remain adjustable to the user. With the utmost precision, the most beautiful materials are harmoniously combined around the carbon into a frame that is both light, well built, and of the highest quality.

Advanced interlining.

An original approach to the combined metal-acetate frame. The regular metal lining holds the lenses in their acetate rim, in order to obtain great flexibility on the whole frame without ever deforming it.

Flexible, light, durable and very comfortable, acetate is present inin all our collections. Geometric,translucent, vivid, the colors are exclusive or composed by collage and lamination, offering endless possibilities of styles, as demonstrated by the ATHENA and GHOST concepts.

Reinventing with the 21st century’s audacity.

The 1985 collection has its origins in the re-edition of iconic 80’s frames by designer Jean-François Rey. Technological advances in lens making have made it possible to produce thinner and larger lenses, allowing us to revive the material for the benefit of a rich, audacious, and more evocative aesthetic.

With PETITE, we want to express our commitment to satisfy an increasingly demanding public in terms of comfort and creativity.

For teenagers from 14 to 16 years old, the J.F. REY TEENS collection combines the codes of fashion and creative design. Minimalistic design and neo-retro shapes, matte and shiny, this collection captures the elegance of simplicity with lightness and comfort.

Characterful design for children from 4 to 12 years old. An offer of exclusive shapes and colors for all styles and desires. Some models are specifically adapted to toddlers thanks to curved temples allowing perfect fit and support.
