OF

MEDITATION

Dontown Denver, CO is an area that is increasingly urbanizing, but it is intricatly tied to its historic background. To negotiate this, the exterior conforms to the urban context by reflecting the urban fabric onto the facade to allow for the complexity of forms and actions within to be obscured from the public while still alowing natural light and ventelation systems.

The intent of the project was to create a place where the influx of visitors can practice meditation through the experiences created during their stay.

The circulation determines the form of programs, allowing the pathways to lead visitors throughout H.O.M.E. The vegitative spaces embeded contain medicinal herbs that the guests can care for and consume to create a remidiative experience.

Situated in the Panhandle, where 128 million acres of TX are used for agriculural production . This mass production creates a enviormental and biolagical hazard due to the dust itself and chemicals contained within it produced for cultivation and harvest as it travels and settles.

The sand dune form is used to combat erosion, and wind protection for the public. The artifical conversion of the dune to shell creates a hollow openings for the program that changes by levels according to light sensitivity. The briges allow for safe exterior travel.

FRAGMENTS OF THE WORLD THIS ERA WAS KNOWN FOR ITS CONFLICT AS IT CONSISTED OF WW2, THE KOREAN WAR, AND THE COLD WAR WHICH LEAD TO THE ATOMIC ERA THAT STARTED IN 1945. THIS WAS A PERIOD WHERE GERMANY, RUSSIA, THE U.S, AND JAPAN WERE GREATLY INVLOLVED AND AFFECTED THROUGH WAR. TRANSPORTATION TOOK TO THE SKY AND SEA WHICH CAUSED POLLUCITON EITHER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, AND THE USE OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS DESTROYED AND CHANGED HUMANS AND ECOLOGIES IMMEDIATELY AND OVER TIME THROUGH DISEASE, AND RADIATION FALLOUT. HUMAN CONFLICT CAUSED FOOD SHORTAGE AND GENOCIDE.

´ INVESTIGACION

Panoramic Investigation A linguistic landscape is the exhibit of languages in signs and bilboards in public spaces. This project is an investigation on what materials are used and how the lexicon can transform and mix according to the geography, culture, and history of a region. This study took place on Febuary 8th, 2020-May 11, 2020 in Lubbock TX.

The two women interviewed stated that “La Pulga” was a bilingual place predominatly.

This home is built upon a property currently composed of an open terrain in the outer southern portion of the city of lubbock that is situated in a boundry that boarders both the city limits and the beginning of of mass agricultural farmland, primarily cotton of the region.

The roof is specifically designed to study and explore regenerative agriculture which aims to capture carbon in the soil and above biomass To reverse increasing accumilation of carbon in the atomosphere through diffrent farming practices such as intruducing plant ecological biodiversity, encriching soils and conservative practices on a small scale and then aims to later introduce this into other farming Surrounding areas.
