The story of Arthur Delamont and his world famous Vancouver Kitsilano Boys' Band. For 50 years Arthur Delamont was the 'King of Kitsilano' with his boys' band winning over 200 championship awards in Canada, the USA and in Europe. The wins were not marginal but without hesitation as one adjudicator remarked. He took his boys' band on 14 British and European tours, starting in the 1930s when no one else was doing such a thing. In England his boys beat the best adult bands England had to offer (there were no youth bands in the thirties). When Arthur Delamont died in 1982, his band died with him as no successor had been groomed to carry on. This is the story of the legendary Mr.D and the band that never grew old.
