These classes are offered every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Arts & Crafts Center. Learn the different tools, their uses in the woodshop and how to care for them.

Small Engine Tune Up Are you tired of paying high prices to have your lawn mower, rototiller or other small engine tuned-up or repaired? Tired of waiting days or weeks for someone else to do it? Emergency Services Jeep

Vehicle Resale Lot Register your vehicle at the Auto Skills Center, and for $4 per week, park it in the vehicle resale lot. Once the vehicle has been on the lot for four weeks, it must be removed for 30 days.

Call the Auto Skills Center at 213-7508 during regular operating hours and they will send the Services Jeep to your rescue on base. They are ready to tow, fill a flat tire, give you a jump or take care of most minor car emergencies to get you on your way.

Basic Brake Repair Making sure the brakes are safe on your vehicle is possibly the most important preventative maintenance that you can perform. The Auto Skills Center will offer a FREE brake inspection and repair class on July 14 at 5 p.m. This is a great opportunity to inspect your breaks with a qualified instructor. The first person to register for this class will have the opportunity to have his or her brakes inspected during class. Call 2137508 for reservations. This class often fills FAST, so call early. We do bowling ball refinishing, new ball drilling, plugging and drilling old balls, and much, much more. July Birthdays If you were born on July 4, Independence Day, we have six games on-the-house waiting for you — otherwise all others who celebrate their birthdays in July, you are eligible for three complimentary games of bowling. It’s Grill Season!

The base Golf Driving Range is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year with one exception — On Thursday mornings during growing season, the facility is shut down for maintenance. The driving range is located near the main entrance to the base on Fox Drive, between the Main Gate and Industrial Gate. The range has a putting green and two target greens for recreational use as well. Machines offer approximately 50 balls for $1 or 25 balls for 50 cents.

Want to host a cookout but don’t have a grill? Equipment Rental has a stainless steel, trailer-mounted barbecue grill for rent. Available attachments include a rotisserie, griddle plates for pancakes or eggs and stainless steel smoker boxes. The rental fee is $25 per day or $40 for the weekend.

Reservation Policy Active Duty personnel may make reservations up to 30 days in advance by putting down a deposit equal to one day’s fee. All other eligible patrons may come in 15 days prior to the date required and reserve items by paying a one-day rental charge. Deposit fees can be returned if a military commitment arises. Please visit the Equipment Rental office in Building 244 for a complete list of available items.

Quick & Easy Camper

The pop-up camper operates off a battery or 110 volts and is air conditioned to keep you and your family comfortable on hot summer days. It lays flat for easy towing and can be set up in about 30 seconds. The interior is complete with a table, an ice box and a four-burner stove. Don’t let the heat stop you from camping! Tennis Courts Now Open The new four-court tennis complex (located next to the base running track) is now open for customer use. The courts are available on a first come, first served basis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Light switches for night play are next to each gate entrance. Tennis racquets and balls are available for free checkout at the Fitness Center during operational hours.

This class offers strength and cardiorespiratory training using multi-joint/muscle workouts to create muscle tone and endurance. There are a variety of exercises for everyone from the beginner to the super-fit. Burn fat and build muscle while exercising with your kids. Workouts are interactive with your children, with varied intensities and modifications.

Keepin’ the Weight A-Weigh The Fitness Center can perform a FREE Micro-Fit computer fitness evaluation for you. After the assessment, we can prescribe exercise programs to help you reach your fitness goals. The assessment determines risk for cardiovascular disease, while measuring body fat, strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. Contact the Fitness Specialist at 213-7830 for an appointment.

Missoula Performing Arts Camp

The Jungle Book

Missoula Performing Arts Camp will host auditions for The Jungle Book on July 25 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at the Base Auditorium. The program is $10 with 60 slots available. For more information, call the Teen Center at 213-6267 or the Youth Center at 213-7474.

American Red Cross Baby-sitting Camp

Cost: $50

For ages 11 - 18

The American Red Cross will teach baby-sitting techniques, as well as certify participants in First Aid and CPR, July 19 and 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Fitness Center Kitchen. Those in the class will recieve a Baby-sitting Backpack Kit stocked with manuals and a first aid kit. Call 213-6762 or 213-7166 to register.

4H Sewing Camp

Science Camp

Youth, ages 6 to 18, can come participate in fun filled science based lessons and activities, July 5 - 8 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Youth Center. The camp will culminate in a takehome science project. For more information and to register, call 213-7166.

Cheer Camp

Youth can learn cheer moves, chants and dancing during this weeklong camp, Aug. 15-18 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Fitness Center. Call 213-6762 or 213-7166 to register or for more information.

Parents’ Night Out Parents’ Night Out will be held on July 16 from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Child Development Center. The evening is an Air Force Program developed to provide weekend child care for children six weeks to 10 years of age. The cost is $4 per hour, per child. Please call 213-7310 to sign up no earlier than 10 a.m. on Friday, July 1.* *No outside food or drink is allowed into the CDC (with the exception of formula for infants). Getting to know people from different career fields, seeing places around Oklahoma and finding good places to eat. What do you enjoy about the Air Force? The camaraderie and meeting people from different places. Off-duty interests: Golfing, fishing, bowling and putt-putt. Do you have any words for those who would be interested in joining the Silver Talon Honor Guard Team? They should check into it because it is definitely a good opportunity for you to learn what the military means to other people.
