Woodworking Safety Classes These classes are offered every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Arts & Crafts Center. Learn the different tools, their uses in the woodshop and how to care for them.

Framing Class 15 & 16 May — 5 p.m. Looking to learn a new skill? Allow the Arts & Crafts Center to teach you how to build a frame from start to finish. Frame size up to 18” x 24”. The class is $25 and covers all materials. Register no later than 9 May to take the class. Call 2137402 or visit the Arts & Crafts Center to sign up.

This simple design lends itself to any room where you need an accessory table. This table measures 28 1/2" tall, 47 1/2" long and 13 7/8" deep. Class cost is $40 which covers the cost of all materials needed. To sign up for the class, call 213-7402 no later than 11 May.

Auto Skills Center Brake Inspection/ Repair

3 May —5 p.m.

Ensuring the brakes on your vehicle are safe is the most important preventive maintenance you can perform. If your vehicle is more than two years old or has 50,000 miles you should attend this class. This is a great opportunity to inspect your brakes with a qualified instructor. We will use the vehicle of the first person who registers for this class to demonstrate proper brake inspection. Call 213-7508 to reserve your spot.

Basic Air Conditioner Theory Class 10 May —5 p.m.

Novice mechanics this class is intended to expand your knowledge of vehicle air conditioners. We will cover the basic operation, testing, and repair of the normal vehicle A/C system. With this basic knowledge you will be able to repair your own vehicle should the need arise. The first person to register will have their vehicle inspected FREE during class (a $25 value). All base personnel are eligible to attend this class. Call 213-7508 to register.

Vehicle Resale Lot

Register your vehicle at the Auto Skills Center, and for $4 per week, park it in the vehicle resale lot. Once the vehicle has been on the lot for four weeks, it must be removed for 30 days before returning to the lot.

Emergency Services Jeep Call the Auto Skills Center at 213-7508 during regular operating hours and they will send the Services Jeep to your rescue on base. Want to bowl on a casual bowling league for a little competition? OR Just keep that bowling edge until the fall and winter leagues start up? Sign up for a short league to be hosted this summer! Equipment Rental About Equipment Rental Equipment Rental is a Force Support Squadron activity designed to provide recreational equipment for the off-duty enjoyment of Vance AFB personnel and their families. The total inventory of items available at Equipment Rental represents quite an investment of your recreation dollars. Take advantage of this opportunity and treat your family to an enjoyable weekend. The goal of Equipment Rental is to provide the items and services that will make your stay at Vance enjoyable. Any suggestions you may have to improve our service is appreciated.

Rent Our Ski Boat There is a 90-horsepower outboard-motor ski boat with a 16-gallon fuel tank, running lights, fire extinguisher, under seat storage, custom upholstery, boarding step and a set of skis and life jacket for just $94 per day or $156 per weekend. There is a safe boating test to take before renting a boat.

Camping Equipment Equipment Rental has a wide variety of camping, boating, fishing and sports equipment available at low rental rates. Definitely the best rates in Oklahoma! Rent items like tents, sleeping bags, skis, life vests, ice chests, and golf clubs. For a fun family weekend, just give the office a call! The Fitness Center can perform a FREE MicroFit computer fitness evaluation for you. After the assessment, we can prescribe exercise programs to help you reach your fitness goals. The assessment determines risk for cardiovascular disease, while measuring body fat, strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. RunFit is Vance’s Running Club! If you need guidance with your training plan, help with your running form, need a running buddy, or need some extra motivation and support, RunFit offers this and so much more. Parents’ Night Out 19 May— 6 to 11 p.m.

Parents’ Night Out is an Air Force Program developed to provide weekend child care for children 6 weeks to 10 years of age. The cost is $4 per hour, per child. Prizes for the most books read will be given at the end of the program. • “Book Over to Bowling”— Children, 3 years old to those entering 7th grade, earn a punch in their bookmark for each book they read or are read.
