SUNSET ON STRANDPROMENADEN HORSENS, DENMARK

SUNSET on Strandpromenaden, located in Horsens, Denmark is a multi-storey residential building consiting of 21 apartments, office space and roof terrace. The main material was red bricks, which combine perfectly with passive building design to harness natural sources of energy. Wood as a part of eco-friendly and sustainable design was perfect for intenal and external use. Excellent properties have made concrete a reliable and long-lasting choice, providing durability and aesthetics. Boasting a silvery aestheic and, highly durable surface, has made zinc a perfect option for roof construction. The outside area is dotted with energy effiecint lamps which also allows charging phones and public wifi. The building are separated by a pathway that leads to the parking area and bicycle storage. Overall, creating a low-cost building which blends perfectly with its surroundings was the purpose of the project.

KOST is a renovation project of an existing warehouse located in Shinkel district in Amsterdam. Designed to attract people through it’s vibrance and colorfullness, it combines offices, retail shops, makers spaces and an alley. The main key points were renovation of the facade, creating an inside alley by demolishing parts of the structure, creating inside gardens to bring the divesity and liveliness of a green ambiance in the office spaces, and adding more square meters by adding new volumes. The project is subject to last for 10-15 years only, therefore, the rausability of the existing building structure and materials were crucial in keeping the overall building and renovation cost low.

MATE is a 50 meteres high building which incorporates 3 concepts: play- a core where everything comes together (lobby, sports ,terrace), work- workstations and office spaces for the creative sector, stay- pre-fabricated wooden hotel modules to stay overnight. Mate is a concious hotel, coming with a mix of features: sustainability and construction, flexible design, green multifunctional atrium, green terraces and, concious wellness (yoga rooms, relaxing rooms). The materialization consists of stretched metal and wired mesh both open 50% to ensure the requirements for waterproofness and fire safety are met. Moreover, the idea was minimizing the CO2 footprint and low construction cost.
