KIM SCOTT
Khairani Barokka is an Indonesian writer, performer, artist and advocate/researcher, who has performed in the US, Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia. She has a Master’s from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She writes fiction, nonfiction, poetry; performs spoken word and promotes arts, tech and disability activism internationally.
Kim Scott is a multi-award winning novelist and also closely involved in the Wirlomin Aboriginal language revitalisation project. Proud to be one among those who call themselves Noongar, Kim is the 2012 Western Australian of the Year and Professor of Writing at Curtin University.

KOOSHYAR KARIMI
Kirsty Murray is a multi award-winning author of 17 books for young people. Her work has been published internationally and is widely read and studied in schools and universities. Her YA novel, India Dark, (published in India as The Lilliputians) won the 2011 NSW Premier’s History Award.
Kooshyar Karimi is a father, a doctor, a writer and translator. In 1998, he was kidnapped from the street, blindfolded and tortured by the Iranian Intelligence Service. When he was eventually released, it was on condition that he become a spy. I Confess tells his harrowing story.
KRIS KARMILA
LAKSMI PAMUNTJAK
Kris Karmila is a musical poet from Brunei, who writes poetry, including syair (a traditional Malay form), scripts, short stories, music and songs. She also sings, dances and has performed on stage and on Radio Television Brunei. Her work has been included in an anthology of young Malay writers.
Laksmi Pamuntjak is the author of two collections of poetry, a treatise on violence and the Iliad, short stories, the awardwinning Jakarta Good Food Guide and a novel, Amba which has become a best-seller. She was Indonesia’s representative at the Poetry Parnassus/Cultural Olympiad, held in conjunction with the London Olympics.

LAURA JEAN McKAY
Langit Amaravati is the pen name of a writer who believes that her writing is not just a profession, but a fate to be fulfilled. She has written short stories, poetry, novels and non-fiction and is currently secretary of the writers group KPPI and founder of Anak Matahari Book Corner in Bandung.
Laura Jean McKay is the author of Holiday in Cambodia, and her writing has been published in The Best Australian Stories, Sleepers, The Big Issue, Women of Letters and Going Down Swinging. She has been shortlisted for national and international awards and in 2011 won the Alan Marshall Short Story Award.

Leila S. Chudori is an Indonesian writer of short stories, novels and television scripts. Her notable works are Malam Terakhir (Pustaka Utama Grafiti, 1989) and 9 dari Nadira, for which she was awarded the Penghargaan Sastra Badan Bahasa Indonesia. She is a Senior Editor at Tempo magazine.
Lily Yulianti Farid is the founder and director of Makassar International Writers Festival, organized by Rumata Artspace Makassar. Her published works include Makkunrai, Maiasaura, Family Room and Your Father is the Moon, You are the Sun (2012). She has translated Anita Roddick’s book: Business As Unusual into Bahasa Indonesia.
