Our journey for the new school year began with Orientation Village, a two-day event held on August 22nd and 23rd, where we welcomed and recruited incoming Freshers eager to embark on their university journey.
This event provided a perfect opportunity to introduce new students to the values of service, leadership, and fellowship that define our club. We were privileged to have the support of St. Andrew High School for Girls and Jamaica College’s Key Clubs. Their presence fostered an atmosphere of camaraderie and service, making the event both meaningful and enjoyable for everyone involved.
There are friends, there is family and then there are friends that become family.
On September 9th, some of our members extended their service beyond our own club by attending a Jamaica College Key Club meeting. This visit strengthened the bond between our clubs, providing an opportunity for knowledge-sharing and mentorship. Engaging with these high school Key Clubbers allowed us to inspire the next generation of service leaders while also learning from their perspectives and enthusiasm.
Following our visit to Jamaica College, some of our members took fellowship a step further by attending a meeting with our sponsoring Kiwanis Club on September 19th. This gathering served as a bridge between the different branches of the Kiwanis Family, allowing us to connect with seasoned Kiwanians, gain valuable insights, and strengthen our relationship with the organization that continues to guide and support our club’s initiatives.
Environmental stewardship took center stage on September 21st as we participated in International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Day. Our members joined forces with other Circle K Clubs from the region to clean up the beach, removing waste and debris to help protect marine life and maintain the beauty of our coastline. This event was more than just a cleanup, it was a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to preserve the environment and promote sustainable practices.
On September 26, we marked a major milestone !! Our club’s 37th Anniversary!
To honor this legacy of service, leadership, and fellowship, we hosted a special club meeting filled with fun and celebrations.
Members came together to reflect on our club’s achievements over the years, share memorable moments, and strengthen our sense of community. The event featured engaging activities, lively discussions, and, of course, a welldeserved celebration of the impact our club has made. This anniversary served as a testament to the dedication of past and present members who continue to uphold the values of Circle K.
