OUR COMPENSATION Competitive Salary

Increment aligned to the contract renewal.

Annual Service Gratuity 20% of the annual Basic salary.

Responsibility Allowance A Responsibility Point may be awarded for undertaking a specific role (eg. Head of Grade or Head of Department), with a corresponding Responsibility Allowance payable. This will be reflected in your contract.

Tax

All income earned is taxable. Taxes are paid one year in arrears by employees themselves. The College does not pay tax at source except for overseas recruited teachers who are leaving Singapore at the end of service, for the final time.

Child(ren) Education Subsidy⁺ Up to two children, below the age of 18. Education Subsidy is considered a taxable benefit in Singapore.

Home Leave and Repatriation Flights Allowance⁺

Baggage Allowance (Relocation)⁺

Overseas recruited teachers are entitled to a baggage allowance for accommodation in the country of recruitment to their accommodation in Singapore.

Local˄/Housing⁺/Boarding Allowance Dependant on your contract, you will be eligible to receive either a Local, Housing or Boarding Allowance monthly to help with lodging costs.

Flight allowance will be provided for self/legal dependents every two years, upon contract renewal.

OUR HEALTH BENEFITS The College aims to provide an effective medical and insurance benefits plan that meets your needs and is within the College’s sustainable financial budget for medical benefits. Besides striving to maintain competitiveness in terms of medical coverage, the medical benefits also focus on well-being, preventive care and mental health. Medical benefit for you˄ and your eligible dependants⁺

Both inpatient and outpatient treatments worldwide excluding the USA, up to an annual limit.

Maternity Benefit

Maternity related medical expenses are covered up to an annual limit including complications of pregnancy.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

Mental health benefit (up to 15 visits per year) in respect of psychiatric conditions, mental health disorders or addictive conditions. In addition, up to free 6 sessions per issue through Employee Assistance Program [EAP] for you˄ and your eligible dependents⁺.

Wellness Benefit Up to $500 per year for you˄ and your eligible dependents⁺ for health screening tests.

OVERVIEW OF EXPENSES IN SINGAPORE In general, basic essentials such as food, clothing, public transportation, basic education, and utilities are reasonably priced here. You can get an estimate on the cost of living with the cost of living calculator and below is a quick overview on the cost of living in Singapore.

A total of 460 km of cycling path networks in nine HDB towns.

May cost you approximately S$50 per month.

Income Tax Your income tax is calculated on a preceding year basis. The Year of Assessment refers to the income earned in the previous year. The tax is approximately 15%.
