Since sparking around a campfire in 2015, UTV Takeover has grown into a nationwide tour, creating lifelong memories for attendees. HUCKFEST
PRESENTED BY: AVID RACING
Huckfest is the ULTIMATE UTV Takeover activity to spectate! Participants jump their vehicles from a dedicated jump to see who can send it the furthest. Huckfest is a high-adrenaline show of skill and risk unlike any other competition. Higher doesn’t mean further and faster doesn’t mean flatter. The number of jumps per participant will be determined at the time of the activity. The number may change due to various conditions and safety factors, along with the number of participants.
We ask that all competitors have experience jumping their vehicle and participate logically, safely, within the capacity of their vehicle and driver safety equipment! Due to the nature of the event, we ask that all spectators remain behind all activity markers and signs. Please park your vehicle off the front lines to allow the thousands of spectators a fair shot to view the competition. This is a 1st/2nd place trophied event!

WHEELIEFEST
PRESENTED BY: HP TUNERS
One of the biggest events at UTV Takeover is Wheeliefest! Drawing crowds of thousands of spectators, Wheeliefest is so much more than getting the front wheels of the ground! Participants need to approach the launch at just the right speed, throttle into it at just the right moment, and then carry that momentum for the longest distance possible. Vehicles can make a clean run or drag bumper. Participants must drive away from the wheelie, or the run does not count!
This event is held just North of Boxcar Hill. For everybody’s safety, we ask that all spectators stay behind track markers and signs. Please park away from the track boundaries to allow standing room near the sidelines. Everybody wants a good view of the best wheelie competition in the United States!

SLALOM SHOWDOWN

Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping head-to-head elimination race at the Slalom Showdown! Two UTVs battle it out on a thrilling course, starting with a high-speed slalom through three barrels. At the far end, drivers execute a tight 180-degree turn around a fourth barrel before flooring it in a drag race back to the starting line. Precision, speed, and guts determine who advances and who’s out in this intense, bracket-style showdown!

HILLFEST
PRESENTED BY: SPARCO
Judged on completion time, UTV Takeover’s Hillfest will test both man and machine as participants navigate our sand hill-climb course. Participants will start at the bottom of the hill, cut up the bottom of the hill, make a 180° turn, cut through the trees, make another 180° turn, continue upwards across the hill, another 180° turn, through the trees again, make one last 180° turn to then b-line it to the finish line! Don’t discount how technical a 180° turn can be, at speed, headed downhill, into a rut! With all the physics involved in these races, this is a great event to attend with the whole family! Hillfest is held at the large dune just north of Boxcar Hill Campground.

DAYTIME GROUP RIDES

These rides are not a race and there are no prizes to be won. Lead by an experienced and knowledgeable guide, spirited drivers start at the front of the pack and cruisers are encouraged to join near the middle or end of the pack. All participants are asked to be respectful of all others’ driving skill levels. These rides are approximately two hours, covering about 50 miles from Boxcar Hill up to Spinreel Campground and back.

DRAG RACING - NIGHTTIME GRUDGE MATCHES

Experience the thrill of nighttime drag racing grudge matches, where anything goes! Race anyone with any vehicle in a casual, high-energy environment under the lights. Test your car, challenge your friends, or take on anyone bold enough to line up against you. The sand drag strip opens in the evenings (check schedule) for epic showdowns, perfect for tuning your ride or just soaking in the action. Whether you’re racing or spectating, it’s an unforgettable way to end the day!

The UTV Takeover Drag Racing is quickly becoming one of our sand events’ most talked-about activities! Anybody can compete and it is a great way to start of the day’s festivities! There will be test-n-tune times before each race, with trophies presented for each class. E85 fuels are allowed in all classes.

NIGHTTIME GROUP RIDES

These rides take place just before sunset and is the biggest thrill ride on the dunes! Starting at Boxcar Hill, these rides run to Hauser Road, take a break, and then run back to Boxcar Hill. Spirited drivers are encouraged to run at the front of the pack and allow cruisers to fill in the back. This is not a race and there are no prizes to be won. Drive at the speed you are comfortable with and enjoy the unique experience! Please be respectful of other drivers and skill levels. Please follow the leader and do not cut unsafely through the group. These rides will last approximately one hour.

BARREL RACING

New for 2025, we are hosting nighttime barrel racing in the short course area.
Join us Friday night for a Dune Party with nighttime barrel racing in the short course arena! Three barrels are set up for competitors to race around and through the finish line. Tight turning vehicles typically have the advantage, unless you have the power to throttle the tail around! Barrel Races are also a great spectating event for the whole family!

A panel of UTV Takeover judges will pick an overall winner and runner up!

Join our exclusive Ambassador Rides for an up-close adventure with our expert riders! These thrilling day rides mirror our standard dune excursions but offer unique access to our ambassadors. Watch them carve through the dunes, hitting jumps, pulling wheelies, and setting up epic photo shoots. Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse as they freeride and showcase their skills in a action-packed couple-hour ride!

DEMO RIDES

Are you thinking of buying or upgrading to a new UTV or ATV? Stop by both of our Demo Ride locations to check out the latest Polaris and Segway model vehicles. You can sign up for a FREE test ride in one of these brand new vehicles and get a feel for the power and characteristics of each machine on the designated test courses. Each ride will last about 25 minutes and provide various types of terrain to really get a good feel for the vehicle. Helmets are REQUIRED for all test rides. Participants are required to register for a time slot to test ride vehicles. Please see website for details.

LAUNCH PARTY

Get ready for an epic kickoff at our Tuesday Launch Party! The fun begins at 7:00 PM with an industry ride open to the public, companies, and volunteers, offering a thrilling chance to hit the dunes before a packed event week. Afterward, we’ll gather at the main community tent in the heart of vendor row for a night of celebration. Enjoy live music, delicious food, and drink specials, with FREE food and drinks for VIPs. Warm up by the bonfire, play cornhole, check out the night-time show-n-shine, and compete in the famous pitstop challenge. Join us to start the week with a bang!
CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT

Join us in the middle of Vendor Row, in front of the UTV Takeover Community Tent, for amazing Cornhole action! Bring a partner, or show up solo and we will assign you a partner. UTV Takeover staff will organize Cornhole matches and teams at random. This tournament will be a single-elimination tournament with winners advancing each round. The main event is Wednesday evening, but the Cornhole boards will be available all week for you to challenge your friends and family!

The UTV Takeover Benefit Raffles were created “by the riders, for the riders” to help raise funds for multiple charities while giving back to the enthusiasts that make our community great! While you are enjoying all of the vendors and FREE activities, please swing by the UTV Takeover Community Tent and purchase a few raffle tickets to help support the cause. We are giving away over $20,000 in donated prizes from the biggest and best companies in the industry. Tickets are available daily during tent hours. TREASURE HUNT

The annual Takeover Treasure Hunt is a must for anybody wanting to see all of what Coos Bay has to offer! Our clues will take you and your family through the event, vendor row, into the dunes, secret waypoints, and more! Take selfies with your team for points. Most points win with ties decided with a single round of Corn hole! Participants will need to pick up their Treasure Hunt package from the Community Tent and can be turned in each day to the Community Tent up until Saturday at 2:00 PM.

ROCK-N-ROLL BINGO

Join us in the Community Tent for a family-friendly fun game of Rockn-Roll Bingo and a chance to win great prizes from our sponsors. It is FREE to play and a blast for all ages. Rock-n-Roll Bingo is similar to standard Bingo. You win by completing a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal line or getting combinations like all four corner squares or a blackout. The difference is that instead of a numbered grid, each board consists of artist names and song titles. The DJ will play random songs for approximately 30 seconds, and you identify them on your card. Play continues until a winning combination is achieved!

BLIND BANDIT
PRESENTED BY: SUPER ATV
The ultimate combination of driver and navigator, Blind Bandit requires drivers to navigate a tight sand course blindfolded, receiving verbal instructions from their passenger(s). Through the obstacle course, navigators will have to grab money bags resting on top of barrels without getting out of their vehicle. Missed/dropped bags and touched barrels incur a time penalty. Complete the course by backing into your marked hideout. The fastest time wins!

STEREO WARS

Crank up the music and show off your build in the annual Stereo Wars! While not a dB drag, Stereo Wars is an overall competition of quality and experience within and outside the vehicle. All vehicles are welcome to join. Vehicles will be displayed in front of the main stage during the Benefit Raffle Friday evening. A panel of UTV Takeover judges will pick an overall winner and runner up!

TIRE TOSS

Come show off your strength in our tire toss competition. Each contestant will get two throws of an MX tire of the appropriate size. Only the furthest of the two throws will count. This activity is familyfriendly with Men’s, Women’s, Teen, and Youth classes. Bring the whole family out for a chance to win raffle tickets, trophies, and, best of all, bragging rights!

ATC 70 OLYMPICS

Join us for our annual ATC70 Olympics! Participants 16yrs+ will have to compete in four (4) different events to see who has the best all-around machine and skills. Events include Short Course, Drag Racing, Barrel Racing, and Wheelie Competition. Participants gather points in each event, with the overall winner being determined by the total points accumulated. ATC70 frame required; any motor or mods allowed!

Every year we bring the best brands, manufacturers, performance shops, and food vendors to Vendor Row, a candy store for everything UTV! Walking the isles of Vendor Row, you can find replacement parts, performance upgrades, paddle tires, LED whips, clothing, coffee, fresh oysters, and more! There’s so much to see and learn by talking with each vendor about their products and services. This isn’t your standard trade show! The UTV Takeover Vendor Row is where UTV enthusiasts meet other UTV enthusiast brands! Make sure to check for show specials and event-specific deals!

POKER RUN
PRESENTED BY: HP TUNERS
This is an activity where you have 14 opportunities to gather a maximum of 7 playing cards to create the best 5-card poker hand. Only the top 5 cards will be used on each card. Each person can play up to two cards/hands. Players must finish the first card before receiving their second card. Gather your cards at checkpoints during some of the events and at checkpoints on vendor row.

If you finish your poker hand on Thursday
Players are allowed to receive a 2nd card when their first poker hand is turned in.
The 2nd card will only be given if the 1st poker hand is completed with at least 5 cards/punches.
Lost, damaged or stolen cards can not be replaced.
Each player must draw their own cards.
Do not have one family member draw all the cards.
Each player will draw a maximum of 7 cards and minimum of 5 cards.
The top 5 cards will be used to make the best 5 card poker hand.
Ties will be settled by a single round of cornhole

MASCOT MAYHEM

Mascot Mayhem returns to UTV Takeover! This family friendly game is a hoot and ANYBODY can compete. Starting on one end of the Sand Drag strip, racers will race down their lane to a designated spot where they will stop. The passenger will get out and put on a provided costume. Once dressed, the passenger will reenter the vehicle and race to the finish line. Pretty simple, but a ton of fun! This is a heads-up knockout competition that the whole family will have fun making memories along with the sand family!

SHORT COURSE

TURBO CLASS PRESENTED BY: KRYPTONITE PRODUCTS
A heads-up race between two drivers on a single infinity track, UTV Takeover Short Course races will test who has just the right combination of suspension, horsepower, and skill. As racers get eliminated, the deeper the ruts get, dynamically changing the course! The course covers two football fields and features multiple elevation changes, corners, and jumps. In the end, the two fastest racers go head-to-head for the coveted 1st place Takeover trophy! Grab some snacks, kick back and enjoy the best in our deep community of racers!

PRESENTED BY:
The PITSTOP Challenge is an adrenaline-pumping tire-changing competition where teams race against the clock to showcase their speed and skill. Participants must jack up a UTV, remove the lug nuts, swap out a tire, and lower the vehicle back to the ground, with the timer stopping only when the jack is returned to the starting point. In a thrilling relay race format, each team member takes a turn completing the challenge, and the team’s total time determines their score. The fastest team claims victory in this high-energy, precision-driven event!

KIDS ZONE
PRESENTED BY: SWEET STACKS COTTON CANDY
Between ripping in the dunes and participating in all the daily activities, make sure to take a break and let the kids do their thing in the Kids Zone located within the UTV Takeover Community tent. Grab a snack or drink while the kids enjoy coloring, crafts, and more! The Kids Zone is not a daycare, and all kids must be supervised at all times by at least one parent or guardian.
AIR STATION
Trailering on and off the sand can be quite the adventure, but we try to make things as easy as possible for all attendees! If you aired down to get your camping rig out onto the sand, make sure to stop by the Air Station on the way out to fill your truck and trailer tires back to safe road-worthy pressure!
The large group campfire will be roaring, food from our vendors will be hot, and the drinks will be cold. Come hang out at the UTV Takeover Community Tent on Vendor Row each night from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM to check out the nightly activities, meet some new friends, grab some food, check out the vendors. As ROWDY HAMMERS, Chris shares his high-octane lifestyle on YouTube with wife Haley, dog Colt Whiskey, and lifelong friends.
We’re excited to welcome COLTEN BYBEE as a UTV Takeover Ambassador! A Yamaha YXZ standout, Colten’s fearless style has earned multiple Huckfest trophies. He recently debuted his Pro R build, securing 2nd in barrel racing and 1st in short course at Sand Hollow, Utah. Thriving on competition and adrenaline, Colten’s set to deliver epic performances at our 2025 events in Coos Bay, Winchester Bay, and Utah!
We’re excited to welcome Offroad Diaries to the UTV Takeover Ambassador program! This Utah-based family lives for off-road thrills, shredding dunes and capturing epic adventures on their YouTube channel. They share their passion for speed and unforgettable memories, embodying the off-road spirit. Join them at our 2025 events in Coos Bay, Winchester Bay, and Utah, where they’ll bring their infectious energy to the trails!
Meet Livi, a 15-year-old Utah speedster! Raised on dirt, she’s been mastering quads, dirt bikes, and SXSs since childhood. With fierce grit, Livi dominates races, skillfully navigating her SXS. Her passion and drive earned her a spot as a UTV Takeover Ambassador and the first youth member of the Whiskey Throttle School District Race Team, inspiring the next generation of off-road racers.
We’re excited to welcome Kyle Litten to the UTV Takeover Ambassador program! A UTV scene veteran since its start and ambassador since 2022, Kyle excels in Rallyfest, Show and Shine, and Wheelie Competitions. A family man from San Diego, he lives with his wife and two daughters. By day, he’s in construction; during desert season, he dominates Glamis and his personal compound.
We’re excited to welcome Marissa Schlemmer to the UTV Takeover Ambassador program! A passionate Arizona mom and wife, Marissa loves dune adventures and competes fiercely at our Coos Bay, Winchester Bay, and Utah events. She’s dominated competitions, earning 1st in Night Time Show N Shine, Treasure Hunt, and Mascot Mayhem, plus 2nd in Women’s Tire Toss and Duner Drag Racing. Her favorite? Short course racing, where she excels!
At 12, Sage Parker, aka “Savage Sage,” has been an off-road prodigy since age two, starting on a Honda quad and mastering dune jumps. From a Polaris Ace 325 to a 2022 Polaris RS1, his skills soared, landing a viral 200-foot wheelie. In 2022, he debuted at UTV Takeover Huckfest, became an ambassador in 2023, and in 2024, won 1st in Huckfest’s Non-Turbo Class. Now, Sage eyes UTV short course racing in his CanAm Maverick R.
UTV Takeover welcomes MATTHEW MANN to our 2025 Ambassador Program! A motocross racer turned dune enthusiast, Matthew’s competitive spirit earned him a short course win at Winchester 2024. He’s ready to dominate Huck Fest in his 4-seat SXS and make waves at our Coos Bay, Winchester Bay, and Utah events. Join us to see Matthew’s passion and talent shine in the dune community!
Welcome SEAN JOHNSON, our newest UTV Takeover Ambassador! We’re stoked to have Sean join our 2025 events in Coos Bay, Winchester Bay, and Utah’s Sand Hollow. Starting off-road at 5, he’s a husband to Micall, father to Jett, and expecting Nyla. Cofounder of Gears and Gashes, Sean’s custom Can-Am X3 chassis redefines UTV limits. With top finishes in Sand Hollow and Huckfest, he’s ready to shred!
UTV Takeover welcomes PATRICK MARTIN to our 2025 Ambassador Program! This 35-year-old offroad enthusiast, raised on Pismo Dunes, lives for adrenaline. From motocross to WORCS racing, Patrick’s a pro. Piloting his 2019 RZR Turbo, #Patriot6.9, he dominates Huckfest, Short Course, and more. Off-roading with family, he’ll lead #FRDTEAM rides at UTV Takeover events, aiming to thrill crowds and prove anyone can shred!
We’re excited to welcome Wyatt Hastings to the UTV Takeover Ambassador team! At 19, this Segway Powersports US factory racer is a UTV standout, with multiple wins in short course, barrel racing, and Hill Fest. Starting on a Honda 50cc at age 3, Wyatt’s passion led him from quads to UTVs by 2018. He’ll join us at our thrilling events in Coos Bay, Winchester Bay, and Utah.
Feel the dune roar! We’re excited to welcome Hale Speed’s father-son duo, Richard and Keaton Hale, to the UTV Takeover Ambassador program! With their crew—Brooklyn, Halsey, and baby Roscoe—this family lives for off-roading. Richard passes his racing passion to 14-year-old Keaton, who’s already impressing.
