Weekly Newsletter Summer 2019 Week 10 This year’s spectacular school production, Aladdin, has surpassed our wildest dreams and to say that we are incredibly proud would be an understatement.

Professionally led by Miss Duncan, the pupils in Forms 2 to 6 have wowed two audiences thus far who, aided by our new super sound system, have been transported to Agrabah, witnessed a flying carpet and been entertained by well-known Disney songs. The final show tonight is sold out. Photos will shortly be available on social media and Flickr. Our thanks to all who have helped with the magic!

What a beautiful day it was on Monday for this year’s Sports Day at Heathfield.

We would like to thank parents for their enthusiastic support on the day.

The winning House was St George.

Many congratulations, this time to Keira in Form 6 who has gained a place in the U11 Berkshire County Netball Team.

Order forms for the whole school photo are to be returned to the School Office, please, by Monday 8th July. Please note that the photos will not be received until September.

Thank you to all our parents, children and grandparents for supporting the PTA events over the last school year. Our final event was Upton Rocks last Saturday on one of the hottest days of the year! Your support has enabled us to purchase a wonderful new sound and recording system for the Wallace Hall. This will be used for events such as Assembly, Prize Giving and it is already in use for this week’s Aladdin production. The system has the ability to record and live stream events, details about this to come later. A massive thank you to Zoey and Jamie Maskell-Smith for heading up the PTA Committee over the last two years They have done a fantastic job and will be handing over to the new elected PTA leads as of September 2019.

What a superb sale the SUPA Committee held this week with a huge £616 raised for climate change charities. Unique hand-designed bags, pom-poms, lavender bags and 100% natural soaps were scooped up by happy customers.

We are super-proud of the SUPA girls and Mrs Ward who have worked incredibly hard with energy and enthusiasm.
