Weekly Newsletter Summer 2017 Week 4 We were lucky enough to catch the tail end of the sunny weather this week for two biathlons at the Marist. This was a first biathlon experience for some the girls in Forms 5 and 6 on Wednesday and Forms 3 and 4 on Thursday. Particular mention to Kate in Form 3 who came 4th overall, losing Bronze position by only 7 seconds.
Form 4 were at the Marist for a hockey match the previous week, winning three out of their four games.
PTA News Roll Up Roll Up ! THE GREATEST SHOWMAN will be showing on an outside cinema at Upton House on Friday 8th June. Doors will open at 6pm, ready for the film to start at 6.30pm, outside in the Upton Garden. All grandparents, siblings and friends invited. Please bring a picnic for all the family and blankets or small chairs to sit on. Tickets can be purchased via the Upton House website - https://www.uptonhouse.org.uk/payments Adult : £10, Child : £7.50. Please add your family name, first names attending and the (eldest) child’s class. It’s going to be a really fun evening and all the children are already excited. Early calculations show that we have raised a staggering amount from the success of the Ball. However we are a little short of a milestone figure and we still have a few prizes left from the Wishing Cart. So, if you would like to help us achieve our target of £8,000 and you would like to buy a wishing cart prize, please go to the School Office with £40 and see what surprise you receive—there are only 10 prizes left. All the proceeds from the Ball will go towards the PTA and the British Red Cross. As already mentioned, at the end of the summer term we will be sending a survey to all parents to gain a consensus on what items you feel the PTA money should be spent on. We will also be sending out a survey next week regarding Form 6 leavers’ plaques. Thank you for all your support, help & contributions to the PTA. Upton House School
