What a beautiful day we had for our Royal Wedding Celebrations today. We had two interviews with BBC Radio Berkshire, one live over the phone with Mrs Thornton and the other live here at Upton with some of the children, it was absolutely great fun. The Guinness World Record attempt* hosted by Busy Buttons took place with children, staff and visitors each signing a card to be part of The Great Fold wedding card for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The lunchtime picnic, provided by our wonderful kitchen team, was just perfect with the whole school eating together out in the garden in the sunshine. * If you have not yet taken part but would like to do so, please do pop along to the Busy Buttons Design Centre in King Edward Court Windsor at any time or at midday tomorrow, 5th May, when the Mayor will be signing her card.
Our annual whole school photograph will be taken next Tuesday morning, 8th May. Please ensure that your child is wearing the correct summer uniform with navy ankle socks. We are opening our doors to prospective parents on Wednesday 9th May from 9.30am until 11.30am. Mrs Thornton will speak along with our Head Girl. Tours will be conducted by members of the Senior Leadership Team and refreshments with homemade goodies will be available.
