Upton Spirit I do hope you are enjoying our over-arching assembly themes of togetherness, oneness and unity. Now, more than ever, such themes are crucial. Challenging times bring people together even more, and we, the Upton team, are united in our core purpose of educating your children through UptonHouse@Home with our usual Upton quirkiness, professionalism, creativity and love.
#GreatBritishBunting Starting the week on BBC Berkshire was a treat for me and a brilliant way to launch our bunting request. Please can you all now create your bunting, following Mrs Lewin’s instructions and send back to Mrs Lewin by this coming Monday. The size of the bunting is uniform, but the design can be absolutely anything related to VE Day, soldiers, peace, your own heroes. We will wrap it around our school like a great big hug, and feel proud.
Red, white & blue Next Thursday I will be leading a special assembly with Mrs Newcombe at school. We will be celebrating VE Day and we will have a few surprises to share. Mr McEvoy will join us and we can all have a WW2 singalong. We will be dressed up in red, white and blue and we would love all the children, and parents if they wish, to do the same. A wonderful opportunity to all come together and have a little fun. Please do forward your red, white and blue celebration pictures.
