Dear Parent We have, all of us, parents also, been on an incredible journey this week at Upton, together. Thank you all for your support, wonderful comments, useful feedback and Upton spirit. I am immensely proud of how the children have adapted to ‘online school’ as they call it. To see them on screen dressed so smartly in Upton uniform and working so hard has, I think I am allowed to say, brought a tear to my eye many times this week. Laughter and joy, excitement, interaction and focus. Well done to every child. Well done to you Mums and Dads. I appreciate fully that you are trying to work alongside UptonHouse@Home and respect and understand that. Our focus is to enable you to do so as much as we possibly can. Prep are certainly self-sufficient and Pre-Prep are hot on their heels. Transition, you are amazing. I love seeing your excitement as you join assembly and chat to your teachers. UptonHouse@Home will grow, evolve and progress daily and with Upton creativity it will certainly have many surprises for you along the way. It is exciting. Togetherness, Oneness and Unity – our theme and focus. I look forward to seeing you all at 9am on Monday for assembly. I will be launching a special project for all, supporting BBC Berkshire with whom I am live on air at 7.40am Monday. A project that you can all help with in your creative and artistic ways. Finally, a big thank you to the teachers, Teaching Assistants and Mr Thornton who are all absolutely giving their all to make UptonHouse@Home the best it can be for you and the children. Upton is a big family and we are blessed to work with you, our incredible families. Thank you.
