SPRING ARTS GUIDE

The School of the Arts, which consists of Art & Art History, Theatre, and Writer’s Workshop, is UNO’s artistic hub. Students can attend and/or participate in the UNO Art Gallery exhibitions, Theatre productions, and the Writer’s Workshop Reading Series. Featuring students and professional creators of national and international renown, our events expand learning beyond the classroom.
We help the arts thrive in Omaha. The doors to our lectures and shows are open to the public. Each semester there are numerous activities taking place as you will see in the following pages. Attend a few or all!

The College Where Creative Careers Begin!
CFAM Degrees Work!

Michael L. Hilt, Ph.D. Dean, College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media
The College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media (CFAM) is dedicated to inspiring the creative growth of all of our students.
We are comprised of three distinct schools in three unique facilities: the School of the Arts (Weber Fine Arts Building), the School of Communication (Arts & Sciences Hall), and the School of Music (Strauss Performing Arts Center).
Each school is built on a diverse array of courses led by a nationally-known faculty of musicians, artists, performers, writers, and scholars.
I invite you to create your future with us and learn how a degree from one of our programs can lead to a myriad of opportunities for a career in the arts. I also invite you to attend one of our many musical and theatre performances, gallery exhibitions, public readings, and other events throughout the year.
