MODES OF LEARNING UNO has tailored classes to be accessible to meet the various needs of all students and offers four modes of learning:

In-person: Instructors and students attend classes on campus on the scheduled day and time.

UNO HAS GIVEN ME SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES AND HAS TAUGHT ME SO MUCH ABOUT BEING INDEPENDENT, BUT ALSO HAS CREATED A NEW COMMUNITY FOR ME. Megan Primrose came to UNO from Ankeny, Iowa and chose UNO for the academic opportunities just as much as the atmosphere.

She loves the class sizes and how connected the faculty is to their students.

“They truly care about your personal success and want you to be successful in all that you do,” she said.

Megan also chose to live on campus as an additional way to get involved and meet people.

“Living on campus, you are so close to anything you need,” she said. “There is always something to go do or see. It is amazing being able to get the campus feel but also be a member of the community.”

Remote Instruction: Instructors and students meet using digital technology, i.e. Zoom, at the scheduled date and time of the course.

Online Instruction: Students access courses and interact with the instructor using digital technology at flexible dates and times.

Hybrid Instruction: Mix of in-person instruction and either remote or online instruction, with reduced contact time on campus.

HOW DID VISITING CAMPUS HELP YOU REALIZE UNO WAS THE RIGHT PLACE FOR YOU? Once I took a campus tour and began to get familiar with UNO I couldn’t believe that it was only 20 minutes away from home. I could actually envision myself being a student here.

I toured both Dodge campus and the residence halls. During the tour you see that it’s not as big as you think and the proximity of where you live to where you go to class is close.

I also got the opportunity to meet the director of the School of Music during the tour, which helped secure my choice.
