MASTER OF ACCOUNTING


MASTER OF ACCOUNTING EXCELLENCE IN GRADUATE ACCOUNTING EDUCATION The Master of Accounting (MAcc) degree program is designed for dedicated students and working professionals, whose career aspirations demand advanced accounting expertise. Students will select one of four concentration areas. The concentrations provide a structured path of study that addresses contemporary issues in the profession. Graduates are prepared for new careers or progressive roles in public accounting as well as private, government, or nonprofit organizations.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS » Official transcripts from all educational institutions attended

» Minimum GPA: 3.0 (cumulative and accounting)

» GMAT: Minimum scores of 550 total, 26 verbal (40th percentile), and 35 quantitative (40th percentile)*


DEGREE REQUIREMENTS After completing all required MAcc Foundation courses, students complete 30 credit hours and a comprehensive exam.

15 HOURS:

ACCOUNTING COURSES Students select courses based on their concentration area.

6 HOURS:

CONTEMPORARY BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT COURSES Topics include business ethics, business analytics, and strategic financial management.

9 HOURS: ELECTIVES

Some electives are directed based on concentration area. Students may select a minor in an area of interest.
