The rest of the world will say,

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

But some of us were born for more.

Some of us were born to engage.

To activate.

To power on.

Some brought us light.

Some brought us the miracle of flight.

Some brought us the very freedom we have to discover these things.

But they all had one thing in common: they would not be extinguished.

A light switched on in them that could never be turned off.

And the world benefitted.

So go ahead. Fix what isn’t broken. Tinker, and alter, and update.

And if anyone has a problem with that, We’ll be here waiting.

University of New Haven Power On.

SOME OF US WERE FOR MORE

An exciting story for descendants and forensic genealogists: Human skeletal remains recovered from the Whydah pirate ship that went down in 1717 are being examined by forensic scientists in the Henry C. Scientists are analyzing the DNA in pursuit of the ship’s pirate captain, Samuel “Black Sam” Bellamy, named by Forbes magazine as the richest pirate in history. JET SET YOUR SUCCESS

Our international satellite campus provides a unique environment for intensive study in particular fields and programs, rewarding collaboration between faculty and students, and immersive cultural exploration.

Prato, Tuscany, Italy

The University of New Haven opened its first international satellite campus in Prato, Italy, in the fall of 2012. This historic city is the second largest in the Tuscany region and is just 20 minutes from the arts hub of Florence and one hour from Pisa by train.

While abroad, our students have the opportunity to enroll in five classes — including perennial offerings and courses that change each year — taught by both University of New Haven and Italian faculty.

The tuition and fees for our Prato campus are the same as our West Haven campus, with the addition of airfare and other travel expenses.

NOW

The University of New Haven offers both binding and non-binding admission programs for first-year student fall admission: Early Decision, Early Action I, Early Action II, and Regular Decision. Transfer applications are accepted on a rolling basis for both the fall and spring semesters.

Students should expect to receive a decision on their completed application within four to six weeks of when the application is complete.

Students may submit either the Common Application or our UNewHaven Application to apply for admission. To begin your application, go to newhaven.edu/applyvb or commonapp.org.

If we are one of your top schools but you would like to keep your options open, you should plan on applying for Early Action. Early Action means you will receive a decision on your application much earlier in the process and have more time to make an informed decision about your college choice before the May 1 enrollment deadline.

Students who are admitted under Early Decision or Early Action will receive a guaranteed minimum of $18,000 in annual merit scholarship. Please note that accepted students may receive a maximum of one merit scholarship.
