AWordFromOurEditors:

What an honor it has been to work along side, The Miss United States, Tiffany Rae and our outstanding media coach, Cindy Christi to produce The United States Crown magazine! They are simply two of the most gentle and talented souls I am so grateful for everything I have learned from both of them and blessed to call them friends.

It is my wish that this magazine not only shows how stunning my National United States sister queens are but also that their beautiful hearts are truly captured

My platform, A Work of Heart, has allowed me to use my creativity and artistic abilities to benefit Children’s Hospital. I have also had the opportunity to use these gifts to create The United States Crown magazine So, in turn, for me, producing this magazine has also been A Work of Heart

Thank you, Miss Junior Teen United States-2020

Thank you to the United States National Pageant for allowing me to expand my creativity and be part of this exciting project It has been so rewarding to learn new skills and work alongside two of the most amazing people, Graceson Pugh and Cindy Christi, to produce the first United States Crown Magazine

I have had a wonderful time highlighting my sister queens and promoting the essence of the United States System

Thank you for allowing me to fulfill my passions and work toward educating others on the importance of volunteerism and mentorship I wish for this magazine to serve as a physical representation of the selfless, hardworking, and determined group of queens and their abilities I will forever look back on this magazine and remember the unforgettable experiences located within it

It has been an honor to be part of the family and I will forever cherish this year

Thank you, Miss United States-2020

Miss United States-2020

What are some of your proudest accomplishments as Miss United States - 2020?

I was able to spread awareness for my platform, Promoting Volunteerism through Mentorship, in a variety of ways including filming promotional videos, social media interviews, and continuing to work alongside members of my community.

I hosted six blood drives that collected enough units to save up to 425 lives.

I had the opportunity to travel and donate essential items to Hope West Hospice Center in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Volunteering to lay wreaths for Wreaths Across America was an extremely humbling and enriching experience. I was honored to place a wreath on my grandfather's and my uncle's grave.

I was able to donate food to various local food banks in different communities.

In August 2021, I partnered with Operation Blankets of Love and held a month long donation drive for local animal shelter essentials.

I organized a team for the Ronald McDonald House Walk for Kids and we raised $600!

Inspiration from Tiffany

I created my platform, Promoting Volunteerism through Mentorship, in hopes to bridge the gap between the two topics Throughout my years in pageantry, I always struggled trying to choose just one organization to support with a platform. I love serving in any capacity that I can, along with mentoring people from all walks of life

When it comes to choosing your platform, the most important component is to find what you’re passionate about. This process can be difficult, but once you find that passion you can apply it to your service work. It’s amazing to see how you can utilize your strengths and gifts in giving back to others. My platform has helped me grow so much as an individual and I enjoy serving with a variety of organizations

A year ago I would have never thought I would be the first woman to win a national pageant title while pregnant. What does that say? I’ll tell you what it says to me Women are being seen for their dynamic beauty As we move through various stages of life, as our body’s change, as we age, as we take on new roles, our beauty prevails Thank you United States Pageant System for making history and sending that message. I adopted two new “titles” this past year, I hope to do them both justice

Here’s one tip for you, when you are selecting your wardrobe, don’t be afraid to go simple I know it’s scary, because you want to stand out! You want your light to shine brighter and to be the one the judges notice. But when you dare to go simple, it lets the judges focus on the girl/woman It says “I want you to see me, because that’s all I need to shine”. It’s a total flex, but that’s okay! Judges love confidence! It’s also okay to glam it up, but don’t think that if you don’t have the sparkliest dress that you’ll be out shined Let that radiant smile and confidence do all the work

If everybody likes everything you do and everything you say then you probably aren’t saying anything If you are doing anything of impact and you have a large audience, people are going to criticize you So if you’re not ready for criticism then you’re probably not ready for a platform -Isaac Frere

Before you win a title, and are given a platform and a voice, know who you are and what your stand for Be confident in your goals and your principles The more people your platform allows you to reach the more likely someone will have something negative to say about you Be ready for that Be proud of what you stand for and say the things that are on your heart without the fear of judgement Because it’s the genuine, direct, personal, and sometimes vulnerable statements that can produce an impact and it would be a real shame if avoiding criticism is the reason you choose to stay silent about something that is important to you

As a five year competitor in the United States system I can attest that there were certainly days my dream of being a National titleholder felt out of reach. However, with an amazing support system, a bond of pageant sisters, and a bucket full of determination, I continued to try and never quit I share this with you as your sign to keep going! Believe in yourself, your mission and your capabilities! You got this girl!!!

When we as competitors are gearing up for a pageant on any level the steps in front us can look or feel impossible Take it one step at a time and enjoy the process Celebrate your little victories and be proud of the growth you have made. You are preparing the best version of you and that’s such a beautiful thing

“That dream was planted in your heart for a reason.”

Today I want to leave you with a gentle reminder to pause, reflect, and enjoy your journey. As pageant competitors we have our eyes on that big prize but the journey isn’t always that cut and dry. We have ups and downs, and curveballs and get knocked down once or twice, but we stand back up every time and push ourselves to achieve our goals. Your time will come queen but today look at how far you’ve come and be proud of your journey!

Take a deep breath in and close your eyes feel that one word What would YOU like to be remembered by or felt with the judges You only have two minutes what do you want them to know about you, what do you want them to feel? What do you want to leave as a thumbprint on their heart to remember YOU by?

Heal the part of you that says you can’t or not enough

Surround yourself around healthy people that are empowered and inspired

Those that truly lov you will support you and your dreams, they may even become part of them

Plant those seeds of intention from lov, with lov, for lov

Dreams that come true were once a seeds planted from lov

The difference in those that succeed is in their why

The reason why you are doing something makes all the difference in how you become and what you create.

Let go of the outcome and trust that with the right intentions you are limitless

Tell the truth, be it in everything you do. It’s the one thing you can sustain

Always allow yourself to learn and grow from everything and everyone.

If you really want it, you will continually find a way to YES.

Opportunities are everywhere but they only happen when YOU show up for them.

Be Brave, Be Bold, Be YOU
