now become reality for Unison Credit Union.

O

ver the years, your Board of Directors has diligently worked to position your credit union for growth. The Heart of the Valley area has been our home since 1932. Expansion took us into the neighboring communities of Wrightstown and Little Chute, but never too far outside of our backdoor.

Growth is a positive thing for your credit union and comes in many forms. Expansion into a new market is an example of growth that allows us to welcome a whole new population into the Unison family. As Albert Einstein said, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” Growth affords us many opportunities and strengthens the credit union to the benefit of all its members.

In July 2014, your credit union broke ground for a brand new location at 900 Main Avenue in De Pere. We opened for business on January 19, 2015 and are quickly making new friends. The De Pere market was a natural progression for us with many Unison members already living and working in that area, just a few miles down the road from our Wrightstown branch. We’ve already forged some new relationships in the community as we sponsored two popular De Pere area events over the Christmas season; The Polar Express at the National Railroad Museum and The Spirit of Christmas Past at Heritage Hill. Both events were an excellent opportunity for us to introduce ourselves to local families. Our partnership with the “Do Something Special Club” at De Pere High School allowed us to spread the word about our branch opening when the students delivered door hangers to homes in our new neighborhood. In return, Unison made a donation to the Club that was then given to a student whose family was in need. Way to pay it forward! We’re so proud of our new home in De Pere and excited about what it will bring to the entire Unison family. We’re moving forward and we’re glad you’re along for the ride! If you’re in the neighborhood, please stop in and say hello.

After a very successful Christmas giving season, we are proud to share our results with you! We donated over 300 items of need and a corporate matching funds check for $1,500. In addition, throughout 2014, employees had the opportunity to participate in Blue Jeans for B.A.B.E.S. in return for a donation to the organization. Over $1,700 was collected from our jeans days!
