HAIKUS Summer: The sun is shining! It is finally summer Summer’s so much fun
The flowers blooming Tells me it is now spring Oh, how I love spring
The cold snow is white In winter it’s bitter cold Winter is so cold
Limerick There once was a boy from Brazil who desperately ate a gill he then started aching so just started baking and now he lives in a mill.
Trees The tree’s leaves are as smooth as silk, green as the pet lizard, it’s bark smelling exactly like my nan’s perfume. Leaves rustling as the wind blows going 150 kilometers an hour tasting like life Bitter then sweet
A Spooky Place In the dead of night a cry of “help� echoes through the alley I was walking by. Pain going up my leg like something sharp and poisonous had hit it. Blood splattered on my face and into my open mouth. That nasty taste of bitterness. A dark shadow hovering above me about to swallow me whole. The smell of death makes me collapse.
A Turtle My shell is strong as metal protecting me from the dark shadows of the night. My fins are the motors, moving everything along. My head is the steering wheel telling everything where to go. My tail is the power source, giving everything ti’s power to move and work.
Onomatopoeia Honk honk, beep beep go the cars in the 3:00 traffic jam. vroom vroom go the motorbikes vrooming through town. eo,eo ambulances to the rescue Boom, boom, boom Traffic accidents crash City sounds giving everyone headaches.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Caitlyn is an Australian Vietnamese, she is now 11 years old and is living in Hanoi. Caitlyn has two siblings named William and Miley. She likes skateboarding, rollerblading, reading and traveling. Caitlyn’s family loves pets. They have a pond of fish, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 bird.
