SCHOOL NEWS ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ Coming to Charleroi High School March 1, 2, and 3 Charleroi High School will present the comic rock musical Little Shop of Horrors on Friday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 3 at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in the Charleroi Area High School Auditorium. Little Shop of Horrors tells the story of a down-and-out skid row floral assistant who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a craving for fresh blood. When the man-eating plant named Audrey II offers to make his dreams come true in Seen here are Andrew Miller (Seymour) and exchange for food, things go awry as Brandi Duvuvei (Audrey) with Audrey II. the alien’s hunger for human flesh grows. With music by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, this long-running on- and off-Broadway show was made into the 1986 film of the same name and has since been performed all over the world. Cost of purchasing tickets in advance is $8 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens. All tickets purchased at the door will be $8. Tickets will be on sale in the Charleroi Area High School Auditorium lobby beginning Thursday, February 21. For more information, please call 724-483-3509 ext. 3233. Ringgold Elementary School North Holds Science Fair

Students who participated in Ringgold Elementary School North Science Fair were (front row) Ashley Baynum, Delaney McGee, Eleanor Bucchianeri, Kenzye Krivijanski, Kirra Gerard, Khristina Morris, Rebecca McIntosh, Tyler Smida, (back row) Holly Arbes, Kylee Krivijanski, Hannah Dudzik, Hannah Frizzell, Jenna Sargent, and Kelly St. Cyr.

Ringgold Elementary School North held its annual Science Fair in January. Open to students in grades 3, 4, and 5, 60 students submitted 34 individual/ group projects. Throughout the week, participants met with the judges to present their projects and perform experiments. Judging was handled by retired teachers Gary Anselmino (Science Finley Middle School) and Ernie Koontz (Chemistry/Physics - Upper St. Clair High School). Carnegie Science Center donated free passes to the first place winners. Congratulations to those students who won and to all of the participants for a job well done.
