WHAT IS NEW HAWK WELCOME WEEK?

New Hawk Welcome Week

Is a fun and exciting program especially designed to assist all new students in their transition into the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. This seven (7) day event has been specially designed to help you learn about campus resources, university policies, bonding events, creating fun, and making lifelong memories!

Get In the Groove!

New Hawk WelcomeWeek is a great chance to meet other members of

the Class of 2028. What a great chance to spend time getting to know fellow students by having the campus to yourself. There will be student leaders, faculty members, and college administrators to help new students in their exploration of their new community.

Learning the Ropes!

New studentswill learn how to take advantage of the programs and services offered at UMES. Presentations from key college administrators and challenging discussions with classmates and student leaders will help you get in the groove.

Mix It Up!

New Hawk Welcome Week is packed with new and fun things to do practically around the clock! Music, dancing, and events are part of college too, and it all begins here. Remember, some events will allow you to show off your artistic and creative talents!

SUBMISSIONS TO THE MONDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Submissions for the Monday Announcements should be sent to UMESNews@umes.edu and are due ONE WEEK in advance of publication.

Submissions should adhere to UMES brand and logo guidelines.

Submissions with a deadline will be removed once the deadline is reached. No submissions will run indefinitely. Submissions with no deadlines or with distant deadlines will run for a maximum of four weeks.

Submissions should include all date, time, and location information for events/activities, as well as contact information for questions. Any links or phones numbers should be active and verified by event organizers prior to submission.
