QUEENSLAND GLITTERATI LISA ASHCROFT Lisa Ashcroft’s stylised landscapes document time and place. The markmaking, scratches and surface graffiti inherent to the works further document the hand of the artist. In this way, the works serve as reminders of our need to be remembered and to leave behind signs of our existence. Ashcroft presents Queensland’s beauty and scale, and Far North Queensland’s luminosity - awe inspiring visuals for a girl from gloomy Northern England.
